The room in this hotel was very small, the room was damp and the shower had a tendency to spray water all over the bathroom. Now you may be wondering given all of that why I would give this hotel a good review given all of that and it ultimately comes down to location, location, location. It's incredibly close to...

Excep the room, which is not big, the cleaness and the attention were excellents. It is well located in one of the typical Paris' neighbourghood, close to the underground station and the bed was very confortable.

Booked this through secret hotel, it was branded as a luxury 4 star hotel??. I can categorically confirm that this is NOT a luxury hotel. Yes it's a hotel, but where the star raring comes from is a mystery. Check in time on the reservation said 2pm, but the staff said 3pm? The staff were not very helpful and seemed...

This hotel is all about the location. Just 200m from the nearest metro it's perfect for a short hop to central Paris. It's in a nice neighbourhood with loads of cafes and restaurants around so don't bother buying breakfast. The rooms are small and are tatty, we ended up in a superior room as I paid extra and it was...

Reception staff were very nice and the place was beautiful. Really good location. Only problem was that we were given a twin room instead of a double and the beds wouldn't stay together so ruined the romance a bit. Great weekend though :)

The room was lovely, very nicely decorated and atmospheric. It was good sized but a bit cold. There were tee/cofee making facilities and free wifi with e-mail registration. The hotel is close to the Montparnasse train station with a lot of cafes, bars and restaurants all around. Although the room and bathroom were very clean, we found a dirty towel...

I needed to stay near the Montparnasse Train Station to pick-up a 6:30am bus to CDG Airport. This hotel is very close, clean, and inexpensive. It is also very small and with spartan amenities. If you need a clean, convenient and inexpensive place to stay one night near Gare Montparnasee, this is your place.

Stayed here for running in the marathon in April and generally a good stay. I was given a room facing the street which as several have commented is noisy. Had to sleep with windows open as the a/c didn't really work- the lowest it would go was 16c and tripped off every 5 mins. Therefore, need earplugs as it does...

I stayed here for 2 nights in February, and the hotel was fine. It's in a great location, lots of bars and restaurants right on your doorstep. There were also metro stations extremely close too. In terms of going out, it was fantastic, however when we did want to go to bed, it was extremely loud! The walls in the...

I chose this hotel as my friend moved to Paris in the summer and lives just round the corner. The room was clean and a very good size and the staff were friendly throughout my stay. However, when I first got to the room I decided to make a cup of tea, only to find that the kettle was leaking...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
