The hotel room we got was okay especially for the price we paid for 3 nights, 252€. We got the room at the highest floor and a view over the town, and the Montparnasse tower. We had a small balcony but the other just had a French one. The bed was hard, but you get used to it, pillows great....

The room that we stayed in was 'cosy' and there was just enough room to 'swing a cat'. Comfortable surroundings and pleasant staff made the short stay memorable. The breakfast was basic but more than adequate with a good choice of continental fare, cereals and pastries. The coffee was typically French and needed extra milk (unless you prefer it strong)....

Stayed two nights here. Hotel excellently situated close to Montparnasse Station and many restaurants and bars. Room was small (as seems usual in Paris) but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with reasonable choice and everything was very fresh.

I had a nightmare journey having missed a flight for a funeral....a very kind taxi driver took me across Paris from the airport so I was near Montparnasse for the first train to Bordeaux the next day. He recommended this hotel as clean and good value. I had a lovely little room on the top floor. Very quiet, overlooking the...

After 3 months of planing and dreaming, finally I and my wife were in Paris with high expectations. Our marvelous trip was ruined by this hotel. 1) First two days of stay, the air conditioner was not working and the room was extremely cold also due to the wind leakage through the old fashion window. They just gave us a...

Great location and a very short walk to few metro stations and Montparnasse train station. Nice neighbourhood with lot of cafes and restaurants around and there's Carrefour supermarket nearby if you need to buy snacks. Check in was a bit slow but not that bad. Check out was very fast. The room is small but still ok for 2 adults....

Location - brilliant. Breakfast - very good. Staff - helpful. We had some problems with water system - in order for it to get hot you either need to do some magic with the faucet or wait for a long time or something else - we did not really figure this out and sometimes had hot water and sometimes no....

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
