Hotel De L'Ocean place was best-seller on booking.com so I booked it for a whole week and I really don't know why. The reception employee was very nice. He let us into our room 40 mins before check-in time. Their wifi code only works for 1 device so each device needs different passwords. When I entered the room I immediately...

The hotel is lovely, the staff are so friendly and so helpful! We organised a lot of trips and the reception staff were more than happy to call taxi's and assist on where's good to eat. The location is about 15-20 minutes (in traffic) from the train station & is surrounded by a busy high street with lots of places...

This hotel is a lovely little hotel, it's not a big hotel but for somewhere to stay when exploring Paris it's ideal. It's on a quiet back street 15-20 mins from Gard Du Nord station, Montmartre is 20 mins away and is no more than 45-60 mins from the Seine. The reception staff were always helpful and friendly and the...

The Hotel DE L'OCEAN was a wonderful surprise! Although the rooms were small and a bit cramped by American hotel standards, the staff were absolutely delightful. They all spoke english (my French is high school at best) and made me and my family welcome. The location was central to all tourist attractions and many delightful French cafes, the front desk...

The room was small and they had the heat on and it was very hot in the room. We had to keep the window open when we were in the room. The wifi wasn't the greatest and you had to keep clucking from the 4 they had. Not one of the better places I have stayed in Paris.

As soon as we arrived the hotel we asked for a shuttle to airport reservation as advised in the reception and gave 16 € to the person in charge. On the day of departure when we went down for breakfast we asked the person in reception to check the reservation, he insisted there is no need to check as we...

Located near to the metro station and few minutes away from the popular tourist destination offers great food. However it is sometime scary as the hotel is old. You may be disturbed in another guests passes by the corridor. All the staffs including the front office guys, house keeping people, restaurant guys are courteous and are always in the mood...

Almost every hotel has a positive attribute, whether it has a beautiful lobby, full bar or terrific rooms. De L'Ocean Hotel has none of that. Every inch of the hotel is dated. It's as if I stepped back in time. There was not a time I did not have to fight the card door reader. It took more than 3...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
