The hotel is quaint and very well located, we were allocated a nice room on the second floor, facing the gothic church with gargoyles, Our room was an average size for Central Paris standards, beautifully furnished with bath tub which was important to sock our weary feet. The twin beds were very comfortable, the staff friendly. The hotel is on...

I stayed here recently with my teenage daughter. It's my third visit to this hotel, and that speaks volumes. It's a small hotel, but full of character. The area is extremely convenient, with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff, without exception, are so pleasant and helpful, and more than happy to speak English.

Whilst the location is ideally placed, the cost at nearly 200 euros per night for a room the size of a family car and a bathroom with a half bath, and view onto the roof of the church, does not represent best value.

We just came back from a 1 week stay, we were a family of 4 (kids are 10 and 12) and stayed in room 51, It was a perfect size, the kids had their own beds and we had space to move around. We ordered 3 breakfasts for the 4 of us and still had food left over - we...

This hotel is extremely well placed and some of the rooms have a fab view. Ours (no 35) overlooked the church but we could also see the side of the Louvre. Room was small but what do you expect from a city centre hotel? It was well appointed and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to...

It all boiled down to the experience with the man in the reception area. He was very rude. Their lobby is small but quaint. The size of the hotel room for 3 was spacious enough. Very close to everything. Price per night 263 euro per night. The elevator is so small and when the chambermaid cleans the room, you have...

So well located we sepnd 4 days in Paris seeing all the sights without taking a bus or metro. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but perefectly well appointed. Breakfast was excellent - too big if anything, and very competitively priced against local cafes (of which there are plenty to choose from). However we are glad...

This is a small hotel, but it was excellent and located in the perfect place to tour around Paris. They were renovating when we were there so there was a little scaffolding inside and they were painting, but they put it up and took it down during the busier times of day so as not to inconvenience guests too much....

This small hotel with old french charm is perfectly located in a quiet street facing the Louvre. Though the hotel has no communal rooms apart from the pretty reception, the staff are very helpful, (I had flu and they offered me tea) and friendly. The excellent breakfast is served in your room, ask for a view of the Louvre. However...

We had a lovely 7-day stay here in January. The location could not be better. You are across the street from the Cour Carré of the Louvre. The Pont Neuf and Louvre-Rivoli métro stops are both a very short walk away (in opposite directions). There are lots of great places to eat and shop. The Pont Neuf bridge across the...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
