The hotel was in a great location on a quiet street but only a few blocks to the metro, Notre Dame, St Germain, and a great bakery! The room was a little small but had all of the ammenities, was clean, and quiet.

My daughter and I recently spent 3 days in Paris. We had a very pleasant stay at the Agora St. Germain Hotel. First, it appeared from the reviews and what I have been told that hotel rooms in Paris are small. This was my first trip to Paris so I'm not sure how to compare our room with others. The...

You can't go wrong with this hotel! Helpful ccommodating staff and awesome location! Hotel is a very short walk to the metro station Maubert Mutualite. The lady on the front desk went out of her way to help us. We had a very important package coming from US Embassy and she made multiple calls (the operator spoke in French) as...

The location was excellent. Very close to the latin quarter and Notre Dame where you can catch the tour buses and all other transportation. The rooms were clean but a bit hot and small. The AC didn't seem to work very well. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay at Agora St Germain overall and I...

The best part of this hotel is the location, right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Lots of tourist attractions are within walking distance, including the Louvre, Notre Dame, Pantheon, Sorbonne and rue Mouffetard. There are also numerous great restaurants and cafes nearby, and the metro is close, too. All in all, the location really can’t be beat. Our...

This hotel was everything that all of the previous reviewers said and more. I couldn't have asked for a better location. I could walk three blocks and I was at Notre Dame and the River Seine. If I walked a bit further, I could visit the louvre and the Musee d'orsay. The restaurants that were within walking distance were great...

Friendly, English speaking staff. Safe, quiet side street within walking distance of Notre-Dame but sufficiently away from the main tourist drag to have a interesting, authentic boulangerie, cafe etc Room and en-suite shower room were small, but modern, clean and with air conditioning and flat-screen TV. My room was quiet, but faced the back with no view. Try to either...

We had a wonderful stay at the Agora St Germain. The location is wonderful...right in the heart of everything and very convenient to the metro. We appreciated the free wifi. The price seemed reasonable for Paris. I'd return again. The staff were very helpful.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
