This is not my first visit to this Hotel. It is my hotel of choice when going to Paris - for business or pleasure - but it is popular so I cant always get in. Theres a reason for that popularity! On this occasion - and the reason why I decided to write a review on Trip Advisor - I...

After just having stayed in this hotel for three nights, my cousin and I have both gone in and come away thoroughly impressed. From arrival to departure, the staff consistently went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We arrived last minute at the hotel and although there was no availability for that night, they aided us in...

Upon us arriving and checking in, we were greeted by a snooty and overwhelmed gentleman that was way over his head. It took almost 20 min to check in because they keep track of their rooms on one book! A book that he would erase and rewrite (in pencil) who was in each room. A step back in time to...

This wonderful small hotel will put you in the very center of historic Paris. It is surrounded by marvelous restaurants, art and antique galleries and world class shopping. Walking to the major sites is one of the delights of Paris! It rates A+ for location, comfort, traditional decor, and value. The staff could not have been nicer.

I just spent a few nights at this hotel with my parents. We had been touring around Europe for a little while and it was my first time in Paris. They had always bragged to me about what a great hotel this was because they used to stay here all the time when they lived in Europe. The room was...

As per most older hotels in Paris, this dated to the early 1800s and had very small rooms. An interesting experience was riding the slow and tiny elevator, which could only take one person with a large suitcase at a time. If you like LV, there is a retail store just down the road next to the Metro. The Louvre,...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
