Can not believe a hotel would continue operating while a new lift was being installed. Nobody informed us while booking and nobody apologised for the noise while the work was being used done during the day. The view outside our room is attached.

Sorry for the works but we have to stay open if we don't want to die. After the attacks of 13 November, our customers are afraid to come to Paris. This put us in difficulty. So it is not possible for us to close the hôtel as we wanted to do.

Great little characterful hotel in a nice central location. Good value we felt for its location. We booked the two bedroomed flat on the top floor. At the time of our visit the installation of a lift was underway, but alas it was the stairs for us. It was fun, just a bit of a puff to get to the...

We recently stayed at Hotel du Lys while on a city break. Hotel was in a superb location in the heart of Paris and right beside the direct train from Charles de Gaulle. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit run down and needs some modernisation. Breakfast is a croissant, bread roll and coffee served on a tray. Simple but tasty....

Quaint old building in a great location. Very nice conversion, try to get the ground floor room to avoid the lack of a lift. Breakfast is basic (like all Parisian Hotels) but adequate. Lovely staff very chatty, relaxed and informative.

The room air conditioner was unusable because it smelled like a poisonous mold was growing inside. Things went downhill fast from there - the clerk told us we could park anywhere on the street since it was Sunday night. Our car was gone at 11 PM, and we had to get to the airport the next morning. The clerk could...

This hotel was perfect for us . We had the apartment on the top floor and we could see Notre dame from the window , it looks awesome as the sun sets and the light changes . My husband and I and 3 of our children fitted in the apartment and my teenage son had his own room 1 floor...

I loved everything about this hotel except the 77 steps I had to climb to get to our forth floor room! The room itself was too small for four people but the bathroom was a comfortable size. We had two in the double bed, one on a mattress on a small frame on the floor, and one in a twin...

A wonderfully romantic spot in the St Germain of Paris. Easy to get to, and well located on a side street, this was recommended to us by Parisian friends, many years ago. The building is one of the older ones in Paris, but the boutique hotel has charm, and is a great spot for a romantic weekend.

Yes, this hotel is old. The building has been here forever but there are very few modern amenities. There are only two electric outlets and they're both taken by hotel TV and fan. There is no air conditioning and no lifts. We initially had a fifth floor room but anyone over 50 won't enjoy that climb. The only other room...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
