We were given an elegant room on the top floor (6th floor), facing the courtyard. The room was clean and quiet. There was a heavy blue curtain to hide the door, which helped to block noise and make the atmosphere homely. The bed was comfortable. The down pillows and quilt made sleeping very enjoyable. The bathroom was stylish. We loved...

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with a friend at the end of November. The staff were very helpful and polite. I could speak some French and my friend could only speak a little so it was nice of the staff to talk to us in English when our French vocabulary failed us. The hotel has a lovely...

This was a great hotel. All the staff (bar staff, reception, housekeeping) were very friendly and helpful. Our room was at the back of the hotel on the first floor overlooking the street but it was incredibly quiet. The room was spotless and the bed was exceptional. The breakfast is pricey but well worth considering because there was hot food,...

I stayed twice in about a week, so waited till the second stay to write my review in case anything changed. Nothing I could really fault, check in was fast. Rooms were ready pretty much straight away. We were upgraded both times, which was really appreciated. Espsically the first stay, as the room on the second stay although still a...

I'm so glad that we chose to stay in this hotel. We had only a short stay in Paris before heading south, at the start of our honeymoon. I looked at a few options, including a few that were significantly more expensive-, and ultimately settled on the Hotel L'Echiquier as being in a good location and great value. L'Echiquier surpassed...

Excellent room - we were upgraded so don't know what the standard is like. Space, comfort but two single beds pushed together is a pity. The lounge /bar in the evening was austere because pretty well empty but used as the breakfast room was great. Breakfast at 25€ is expensive and I wish I could understand the marketing logic but...

We arrived at the hotel very late at night and were received a warm welcome. The staff is extremely nice and English speaking. The room was nice and comfortable. The location is very good - very close to a metro station.

The room was great. The setting along the corridor was really nice too. The best part is that the old school elevator which is very special. The place is about 15 minutes walk from Gare du Nord and about 20 minutes from Notre Dame, quite convenient. Have also visited the bar and the staff there was very friendly. Overall enjoyed...
