We had planned to stay two nights at this hotel but due to an all-out strike in Belgium affecting all public transport we stayed two extra nights. This was no problem and we were able to stay in the room we had been given. The room was very comfortable and had tea and coffeemaking facilities as well as a mini...

What a fabulous location for a two women traveling together. My adult daughter and I never used the metro as everything was in walking distance - great restaurants, museums, Churches and shopping. The hotel was ideally located and our room overlooking the Boulevard was surprising quiet. Although small the room was comfortable with a lovely breakfast room and a perfect breakfast....

Nice little hotel in ideal location. Took deluxe room which was excellent. Had a room with streetview but no sounds whatsoever. Nice thing is that windows could be opened to let fresh air in. Breakfast included and of excellent quality. Small and cosy breakfast room. Location perfect, louvre and orsay within 15 min walk. A lot of shops, restaurants everywhere....

This small hotel had an excellent location for exploring Paris - and getting in and out of the city from the airport and train stations. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room we had was pretty spacious (unlike the elevator) with a lovely updated bathroom. The breakfast was as expected for a Parisian tourist hotel. Again, the location was...

We were very happy with this hotel. It is in a fantastic location - within 20 minutes walking of the major attractions of central Paris. It also has four very good cafes right outside it's door and several others within a block. I thought the best part was the staff. They couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. I had...

This hotel is situated in a very good location with losts of restaurants close by and very convenient for the Hop on, hop off bus and also the Metro. Many local shops close by to explore. Although the room was small it was very comfortable and very nicely decorated. It was lovely to be able to look out of the...

Our favourite hotel in paris, Au Manoir is a gorgeous boutique hotel in an unbeatable location on the Rive Gauche. The rooms are a nice size, clean and comfortable. It's next door to Brasserie Lipp, and across the street from Cafe de Flore and Cafe Deux Maggots! Wining and dining and shopping in the area are simply fabulous, everything else...

10 mins walk from the Louvre. Right in the heart of wonderful Bistros and Brasseries. Not too touristy - you will be amongst local Parisians. Hotel is very clean and comfortable - exceptionally quiet in the rooms. Our rooms was a modest size and our bathroom was great (bath was big enough for 2 people). Beds are comfy and we...

2 minutes to the metro, says it all and surrounded by popular typical French restaurants ( such as Lipp and cafe Le Florence.) It's small and the complimentary breakfast is well looked after and clean. Bathrooms are incredibly small and the ( superior ) room was pretty small too. But great location ,but not cheap.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
