I can't say enough about the Hotel Britanique! My room was roomy and very clean. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and recommendations. The hotel is near the Metro and bus and within walking distance of the Seine, Notre Dame and many popular landmarks. As a single traveller I felt very safe walking anywhere in Paris. If I ever...

We stayed at the Hotel Britannique for 4 days in March 2017. Our stay was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, with comfortable beds, and friendly, helpful staff. Best of all, it is very close to a metro stop, Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Seine, Sainte Chapelle, etc. We highly recommend Hotel Brittanique.

Location is great, the rooms are clean, cosy and practical, staff is friendly and speak good english. We had brought our own champagne to celebrate an occasion and they lent us some lovely glasses and offered some snacks to go with the champagne with no charge. We enjoyed this in the lovely shared area next to the reception area and...

This was our third stay at the Hotel Britannique and it was as pleasurable as our previous visits. This time we stayed in room 51 that had a small balcony (w/table and chairs) and great view overlooking the street. The en suite in this room had a bathtub. The bed was super comfortable. On our last visit we had trouble...

I stayed in Room #2 a couple of weekends ago with a friend who was visiting from Canada. The room was on the 1st floor (2nd floor for Canadians & Americans) and faced the street. The room size was typical of this area (compact) but was well laid out, clean and cozy, and had a nice sized bathroom. For those...

This little hotel is in a great location. You have lots of metro stations close by. One at the end of the street. You are a few minutes walk to shops, cafes, louvre. There is a great bakery just around the corner that is really good and cheap. The room we had was small but perfect for two people. The...

5 minute walk o Notre Dame Cathedral and a 10 minute walk to the Louvre Museum make this a prime location to stay. There were plenty of good restaurants in the area to choose from and a metro entrance half a block away. Our room (king bed) was small so I suggest you travel with small bags Everything in our...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
