Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely place, wish we had more time there than just one night. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, and location is excellent right across from the beautiful Jardin Des Plantes. Very close to transit / metro and the latin quarter. Book it!

Great hotel in a fantastic, more local spot but still with easy access to all the sites via bus, metro (20 mins to Gare du Nord) or bike - but also with lots to explore in walking distance such as well known Rue Mouffetard, Jardins des Plantes, Pantheon, Grand Mosque and plenty of gorgeous streets and neighbourhood gems! The hotel itself is pretty classic for Paris inside with narrow corridors, windy stairs and a tiny lift - which may surprise you, if you've not been to Paris before, but is really common (and personally I think adds to the charm). It has recently been refurbished, so the rooms are simple and modern with an industrial vibe. It comes with all the amenities you would need - a safe, Nespresso machine, hairdryer, TV, hangers, bathroom products, such as soap, shampoo and conditioner and cream. I found it to be quiet, very clean and a good size. There is a roof terrace that is open to all guests and is a lovely spot to read a book. Can't comment on the breakfast as I opted to go to local Cafes such as, Strada, Nuance and Jozi - but the downstairs area looked lovely. Would definitely recommend this hotel and hope to stay here on a return visit to Paris!

A well located hotel, small and confortable. The room and barhroom were clean and spacious. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast, served in an ancient basement, is excelent for a 3 star hotel. Highly recommendable

Okey, i really don’t know where to start. But i’ll try to sum everything up. Room: The room is small, imagine a shoe box, a little bigger. Don’t have any hooks to hang up wet towels, no wardrobes, no fridge, nothing that you have in all other hotels. BUT, the room was cleand, and looked good. Breakfast: DON’t pay for breakfast. You will be so freakong dissapointed. It’s really some hard dry bread, some poor cheese, crossaints and nutella. No juice more than orange juice, and it was finished and now refill. There is no hot food at all. For the amount youbpay for breakfast, you can buy it on a cafe much better and cheaper. Hotel: Good location, nothing to say about that. The hallways are like 60cm wide, and the elevator is smaller then that. So if you have big bags and are are 2 or more, you will need to go one by one in the elevator. No roomservice or restaurant. Overall. Really poor hotel for the price. And as i mentioned before, breakfast - avoid.

Great little hotel with wonderful rooms, great breakfast and air conditioning. Just a little bit from Hemingway’s Apartment. So a great location. You have to park down the street as there is no parking on-site. Parking at the underground garage nearby was very reasonable. Hotel is just a block from the Metro. So very easy to get to the hotel and from the hotel around Paris. We were thrilled with how well our visit went.

In 40+ years of travel, the worst hotel we’ve ever experienced. Small room, but to be expected in Paris. Arrived early and told to leave luggage behind reception and return at 3pm to check in. Came back at 4pm and were shown to room on the 5th (top) floor. Receptionist said it would take a while for room to get cool, so turned on air conditioning and went out. Came back at 9pm, and room was brutally hot. Went downstairs and asked for different room. None available. THEN we were told that the air conditioning was broken on the 3-5th floors! Suffered an evening of no sleep (after a sleepless flight and a day of sightseeing). In the AM, we asked to move to room with A/C. Receptionist said she’d try to get us a room on the lower floors with functioning A/C, but we’d have to move our stuff back behind reception area, and into new room later. Came back in afternoon, and moved into a smaller room that had A/C. Had to squeeze by a pile of boxes to access the door of the room (fire hazard). Room had half roll of toilet paper so we asked for more, and were told that they had no more! Then we asked for ice. They had kitchen facilities, but no ice and we were told to ask restaurant across the street for ice. Upside is that housekeeping was fairly competent (except for half-roll of toilet paper) and that the PM receptionist (Sandra?) tried her best to help us with limited resources. DON’T BOOK HERE! We’ve had better accommodations in the jungles of the Peruvian Amazon!

I booked based on past experiences, never dreaming that someone had bought the property only to destroy it. We were to stay 6 nights, within 1/2 hour I had booked a new hotel - in the lobby since there was no WiFi in the rooms. The first warning was the dark, super narrow corridor, the walls padded and covered in plastic. Ick. The room? Well, at least 1/2 the size of any room I’d had at the old hotel, maybe less, and I’d refused to accept that room. The “wardrobe” they mention? A 20” pole just deep enough for the 3 provided hangers, not long enough for a dress. No sockets not in use for lamps or tv except in bathroom. Not one. Plastic covered walls. The shower stall is 22” wide. Space on one side of the bed for one suitcase, the other two went in front of the door. 2 good points. The ceilings are still high and the air conditioning works. As of this writing I’ve met 2 staff members - one was pleasant enough but left the desk for so long I was able to search and book a new hotel and wait to tell her we were leaving and give up, the second could barely drag himself away from his phone long enough to mutter bon jour. It was 9pm. Avoid avoid avoid.

Unprofessional and unhelpful staff. Unwillingn to help guests or to solve problems. The spaces are considerably smaller than it seem to be in the photos. Neibourhood is nice but there seem to be much better options.

This is the nastiest and dirtiest hotel room I have ever been to. Me and my girlfriend were shocked to see blood stains on the bed sheets, dirt and dust on the floor and even foot prints from muddy shoes. We were there for 3 nights and thought it would at least be cleaned by the ladies on the second day but they didn't clean the room at all just changed the sheets. The night desk is full of dust and I added a picture from the entrance of brown/black dust which was there before we came. There is no way you can not see it when entering since it layed just inside. I recommend anyone who values hygiene to go somewhere else because the owners of this hotel do not care the slightest about the cleanliness. Another thing is sound isolation which is non-existant but this is something I can live with however dirty rooms are not. 1/5 stars for sure.
