Tucked away near the Sorbonne and about 5 minute walk from Notre Dame lies this gem of a hotel. Great service and comfortable rooms make this the perfect venue for a short break. I dont think I have had a better breakfast abroad - authentically French with the option of Champagne. Perfect!

My husband and I recently spent six days in Paris, and after considerable research, decided to stay at the Best Western Jardin de Cluny. This hotel was all we had hoped it would be and more. The staff was extremely warm, courteous and helpful, and are truly multilingual (we heard French, English, Portuguese and Spanish, which my husband and I... More

Breakfast included in room price and was very good. Breads were incredible with cheeses and a few meats, coffee and juices were very good, and organic eggs provided for you to cook in water basket for soft or hard boiled egg. Front desk service was very nice and helpful. Dropping off the key and picking up when leaving or arriving... More

We booked this hotel in base of the good reviews we read in Tripadvisor. Sadly, our experience wasn't so nice. We booked 2 rooms for 5 nights with 2 single beds each one, very tiny rooms. Pros: the hotel is very well located in the Saint Germain neighborhood, few steps from a metro station. The staff in front desk is... More

I picked this hotel because of the consistently high ratings on Tripadvisor. It's well sited on the Left Bank, about a 5 minute walk from Notre Dame. As people have said it is in a narrow, mainly quiet side street with access to numerous restaurants and food outlets. As many of the reviews indicated the rooms were small, I decided... More

but even if you don't need the extra space, it would be hard to top this hotel! We found all the staff to be exceptional, but expecially Andre, Andrea, Djamel - and Marie-Therese who started our days with laughter and a gracious breakfast array, bringing my husband a special mug as their cute cups are not lefty-friendly. I'm not posting... More

As everyone has stated the location is wonderful. An easy stroll to so many wonderful places. Wonderful little market around the corner that we really enjoyed. The staff was friendly and eager to assist. The room was small but the bed was big and comfortable, the breakfast was really great (first time I have seen champagne on a breakfast buffet!)... More

Four Days in Paris at this affordable gem. Typically small room (expected).. Great location, yet on a nice quiet street. Best of all, a wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Andre and all at the front desk are a real asset. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here from 19 to 26 April 2012. It's a excellent hotel in a great location about 150m from the Maubert-Mutualite metro station and close to many shops and restaurants on the beautiful Boulevard St.Germain and Rue St,Jacques, and in easy walking distance from Notre Dame and the starting point of the hop-on hop-off bus. Our... More

As all the previous reviews have said, the hotel is in an excellent location; really had to beat in the centre of the Latin Quarter close to both Bvd St Germain, and Bvd St Michel and very close to the metro, (Line 4 that runs to Gare du Nord (handy for the Eurostar) is about 6mins walk away). The hotel... More

Dear Sir, Thank you very much for this review, we are happy that you enjoyed your stay in Paris. Our hotel owns the Ecolabel since 2008 (low environmental impact + high quality of service), and some criteria don't allowed to provid single use toiletries and products: that why our bathrooms provid liquid soap and shampoo/shower gel in dispensers. Of course,... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
