Seems to be somewhat recently renovated; nice and well maintained lobby, seems to be in a good area relatively close to the metro. Rooms were definitely on the small side, which is more or less what I was expecting. Beds are very close together and the bathroom was tiny. Rooms were clean however and seemed to be new. Breakfast was...

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days. It is accessible by the metro.Nice location with numerous restaurants around. Pretty fast internet available as complimentary service. The rooms are however pretty small and the elevator is old and occasionally not responsive to the key card. Why are the bathrooms so small? I really struggled to use the bathrooms. The...

This Ibis offers a predictable level of quality: small clean room with very practical use of space, fast wifi internet, descent breakfast. The location was convenient for my business trip and excellent for a morning run - the hotel sits on canal and you can run for miles, if you like. Things to keep in mind: 1. Small room as...

My rating is mainly for the hotel itself, with comfortable hotel rooms on the budget side without leaving you wanting. The location it's in, however, is less desirable. From my second floor room window I spotted and stared down a man attempting to jimmy open a car's back window - at 4:30am I opened my window and blatantly stared at...

The hotel is cheap and easily accessible by metro. Only 15 minutes from Gare du Nord, does the job but wouldn't stay again. The bathroom is ridiculously small, you have to angle yourself to sit on the toliet. I have a rear facing room which looked onto an alleyway (which backed up onto a scrapyard). I witnessed a fight from...

Hotel does what it says but don't eat here. The service is terrible. The food either over reheated in the microwave or arrived missing components promised on the menu with no apology or explanation and even asking for condiments makes you feel like an inconvenience to the staff. Very unprofessional and not at all what I anticipated from an Accor...

This Ibis hotel is nicely located and is fronting a large canal. Quite romantic corner of the city with plenty of small restaurants and bars. Rooms are clean and breakfast abundant and varied in choices.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price to stay in this different area of Paris, easy to get to and everything you'd expect from an Ibis hotel. Rooms were a little small and some hairdryer issues aside no complaints for this hotel.

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
