The room is not very big but enough if you dont have many luggage. Since it's near metro station, it's convenience to go everywhere. I must give credit to the concierge because i keep a package for a friend in paris and my friend only have time to take it after 2 weeks since he just come back from vacation...

Just a regular business hotel and not very central to the 1-4 arron. in Paris where you want to be to experience Paris. For business, its a nice hotel. For someone that wants to see Paris, get closer to the Ile de la Cite.

We stayed at the Marriott Rive Gauche for 4 days. It is specially good for Marriott Rewards members - we were upgraded to a beautiful suite with 2 bathrooms and a panoramic view of the city. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of champagne waiting in the suite to welcome us. The suite was spacious with 2 King...

The location is close to two metro stations but not close to any major attractions. The concierge was very helpful and friendly. The bed and bedding was comfortable and we slept well. But, the Marriott Rive Gauche restaurant (including room service) serve, hands down, some of the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. I can't believe they get...

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights based on budget recommendation from a friend. It is a fairly good hotel - though rooms are small, beds are comfortable and amenities are well provided for in the rooms. Service at the check in counter can be faster. The concierge was quite helpful. The older concierge staff was bit impatient but there...

I expected the hotel to be closer to Eiffel Tower but the Hotel is a little far from Paris' main downtown landmarks but there are two metro stations within very easy walking distance. Then in walking distance there is an extensive a French market that opens up twice a week just down the street from the Hotel. Also few supermarkets and...

I stayed at 3 hotels for my 50th birthday. All hotels knew and this hotel was the only one not to acknowledge Renaissance Arc de Triumph as soon as I checked in said "we see you are here for a special occasion". I used the concierge staff who seemed irritated when you asked questions. The rooms are typical Marriott --...

Stayed here as a couple January 21-22, 2012. The hotel is very well placed with easy access to metro/RER transportation. We had a great view from our room 1230 of paris from Invalides to Monmatre to Pantheon. Fab! The best thing was the service- these guys were fast and very pleasant. I called sunday at Noon and asked for a...

I stayed in this hotel for a combination business/pleasure trip. It was not the usual type of hotel I would choose in Paris as it is large and not typically "Parisian". However, I was very pleased with the accommodations. The room was very spacious for Paris - there was even room for a comfortable chair. The beds were quite comfortable...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
