We booked this hotel for a short break. We had looked at the reviews on trip adviser prior to booking to see that the hotel had been given some bad/average reviews however we booked it anyway due to the more recent reviews being good. The hotel is amazing, its VERY clean and well presented. The staff are very helpful and...

We stayed here for 3 nights on our trip to Paris. It was perfectly located near public transport and had a lot of good eateries nearby. The rooms were more than basic and perfect for us. Before choosing this place read a lot of reviews here about its location near the red light district. want to let the new readers...

The location is great, a short walk to the wonderful cafes and street scenes of Monmartre, close to the metro and with lots of buses. The hotel is quiet (impressively so given the busy roads) and the staff friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean, some of them are a little small (one side of a double bed against a wall...)...

Stayed B&B only. The location is excellent for the Montmatre area, easy access (by bus 54) from Gare Du Nord Station. By metro it is complicated and poorly signed. We did not have an evening meal but breakfast was comprehensive at a reasonable price. All buffet but plenty of it and good opening hours. This hotel caters for bus trips...

We spent 6 nights here. Room was small but very well laid out and clean. The rooms have been renovated since we lasr stayed here. Beds and bedding are new and comfortable. We thought breakfast buffet was worth the money. We got a discount for booking ahead. All in all a good place from which to explore Paris.

When visiting Paris (now in double figures), I usually book a traditional Parisian hotel and not a chain. However, due to the price being so good I booked it for 5 nights. Montmartre is our favourite area, so we always stay around the Moulin Rouge. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two friendly reception staff who checked us in. We...

The hotel is very clean, but the breakfast and food was a bit expensive. My suggestions is to step out and have your pick. The street has many options, including cooked and tasty food in a supermarket. Many excellent and cheap take away joints run by Turkish emigrants. The underground station and bars are all easily accessible.

We chose this Ibis to stay next door to our colleagues at Mercure. This hotel was decent all around, but not more than that. The room was rather small (predictably so in Paris), the service and the breakfast did not impress, but did not disappoint either. The location is very good, if you'd like to stay within walking distance to...

Nice hotel that has been modernised. It is definitely a lean hotel with all fixtures and fittings etc designed for the traveller who is literally just seeking somewhere to sleep. There is no luxury or atmosphere in the hotel its basic but done well. The only complaints I have is the cost of dining for what you get you would...

Hotel is very basic but clean. Cleaners visited daily and left room tidy. When we arrived we was placed in an extremely small room, so small that there was not even access to both sides of the double bed as it had been pushed up against the wall. (I'm guessing this was just leftover space and they thought they would...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
