The location of the hotel is very convenient for those who like shopping and also going to louvre museum. As all of these place could be arrive by walking. Food is also easily found outside the hotel. The only inconvenience is the lift as it very small but you can't complain because you are staying in a few hundred years...

This hotel was our base for two nights as I visited to run the Paris Marathon. The location is absolutely ideal. There is a metro station literally a minute away and the Louvre is a 5 minute walk down one road (turn at the hotel door right and keep walking) The décor was stunning in true Parisian way and the...

Not sure if everyone knew this hotel does not offer complementary water, no mini bar, no shower gown, no slippers and no bathroom amenities (they have shower gel attached to the bath tub wall.. and a soap, that's it) cause if I had known this would be the case, I would have not come here... The location is convenient and...

The good: Let me start by saying that the location of this hotel was excellent. A 20 minute walk to the Louvre, another 10 to Notre Dame or Musee d'Orsay. Longer of a walk to the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomph, but doable. Plenty of restaurants in the area and the metro is right around the corner....

Not a bad hotel, but I didn't like the room. Maybe it was just mine, but it was so tiny that gave a suffocating feeling. Also, the decoration was kind of "stressful", since everything was painted in red with weird giant pictures of polar bears. The bathroom was great though. The breakfast (though expensive - 19€) was tasty.

A posh Boutique hotel, with nice sized rooms, well presented (and a bath!). Very close to the Metro . Breakfast the standard French fayre, hot food limited to hot eggs and pancakes. No dining facilities, but restaurants plentiful adjacent. No UK TV or brown bread for me (!)

This hotel was great value for the location - it is walking distance to the Louvre and Moulin Rouge, and right by a metro station that takes you to the Eiffel Tower. However, we booked via Hotels.com, which offered us a choice of a standard, superior or premium room. The difference with the superior room, which we selected for an...

This hotel was part of a package deal we booked last minute. The location was great - steps to the metro, short walk to the grands magasins. It overlooks passage des princes which is very charming. You can see some of the stained glass in the stairway - very nice. Front staff were pleasant and helpful but slow for check...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
