Budget hotel with a very Parisian feel to the place. Room is basic and not modern, but bathroom is updated and flat screen TV in the rooms. All the personnel encountered in the hotel were very friendly! Location is great, being close to the Louvre and Notre Dame.

Don't expect luxury (or a lift you can fit in) but for the price and location it was a very good hotel. The room was small but clean, the shower was great and the big windows were a pleasant feature. The staff spoke perfect English but we were let down slightly by not being told our floor was being redecorated....

Small clean hotel. Was being decorated when we were there. Small rooms but can't beat the location for the bars and restaurants of the Saint Germain area. Staff very helpful friendly. Good place to get your head down after a night out.

We booked the hotel , following the nice recommendations written here. Most of the information here is true: considering the hotel's price, it is well located, close to 2 metro stations. The rooms were well cleaned, the shower was good, the reception were informative and very nice. We did not feel that the rooms were small. We ordered a standard...

The hotel is very nice: staff were friendly, breakfast was good, the bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean. The late check out was appreciated, as it meant I could do some work after an early meeting. Price was very good too. However, there are a couple of niggles. The first is that it was really difficult...

Small hotel well located with nice traditional decor and cosy sitting room. Room quiet smallbut with all you expect in this category. Metro station at walking distance. Not for wheelchairs. Haven't tried the breakfast.

A nice small hotel in a fantastic area. No luxury but quite charming and a honest value for the price, given the level of the neighbourhood. Do not expect one once of corporate style, but a real atmosphere :-). Still the odour of a not so modern France...

For what I needed this hotel was perfect. Also happened to be across from Apple and Nespresso! This hotel fulfilled what my husband and I needed most. A hotel is best walking distance and near everything important for a first time tourist; including direct line from Train station- Gare du Nord to Odeon and a few blocks walk to hotel....

My wife and I stayed for a few days at this very nice and reasonable hotel in Paris near the Latin Quarter in November. It's an older hotel, but it has been updated. Our room, while not large, was of decent size with a nice bathroom (but no stall shower). The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It is very...

This hotel is in the Saint Germaine area which is convenient to many of the top Paris sites. Unfortunately, there was construction across the street when we were there. We closed the window and turned on the air conditioning, which helped a lot. The air conditioning is definitely a plus. Our room was small, which is pretty typical for Paris,...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
