We had a lovely time at Hotel Saint Paul. The staff was warm and helpful, breakfast was delicious, and the rooms we well appointed. We had a street facing view and it was quite quiet. We love the room key process -- each time you leave, you leave the room key at the front desk. This prevents you from locking...

We made a last minute decision to spend two nights in Paris. As a family of 4 including 2 teenage daughters it's getting harder to find an affordable room in Europe that accommodates us. Hotel St Paul was perfect. We stayed in a large room w one double plus 2 single beds. It was tight but perfectly efficient. Beds were...

Quaint, Eclectic and Beautiful. Those are the words to describe this hotel's feel, desiration and spirit. It has a great location being seated right at the heart of the action, having ease of access to all destinations and is close to Boulevardes Saint Michel and Saint Germain. Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your fantastic review about your stay with us. As the hotel Sales manager, I have to make a very important point: the best rates are not on Booking.com or other's distributor website but exclusively in the hotel's official website, without any intermediary. Having said that, I totally agree with your review : the...

Me and my wife stayed at the hotel for 5 nights till yesterday. It was our second stay at the hotel (the previous was 5 years ago). This was my 5th stay in Paris and first at this property. I normally stay on the right bank and this was my first time in this neighborhood. I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else now. The hotel was off a main street near local restaurants. Close to multiple metros. I felt like we kept running into local places...

I chose this hotel based on photos and reviews on Trip Advisor, and I was pleased with my choice. They were very nice on the day of my arrival and let me check in a bit early since my room was ready. I had a sweet little room on the 5th floor. The lift was small (normal, by small European...

Wouldn't change a thing about this place! From the cool key, petit dejeuner, friendly staff, perfect location to the rooms with enough room for us Americans. Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche belongs to a Franco-British family, hoteliers for 4 generations, who have made the hotel a marriage of French elegance and English comfort. Situated on the line of Paris' former outer wall under Philippe Auguste, this 17th century building was once the home of Franciscan monks. The 31 bedrooms are colourful and range in style from the modern - vibrant flowered fabrics - to the traditional - exposed beams and elegant opaque curtains. There are beamed ceilings, faux ostrich bed-heads, clever corner armoires, even two baldaquin beds beneath the high ceilings of the lower floors. Entirely renovated in 2015, this boutique-hotel is close to everything, in the heart of the action, but in a quiet little street. The Luxembourg gardens vicinity and the so many walking distance sites like the Sorbonne, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Pantheon, Cluny museum and the Louvre, make the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche a convenient pied-à-terre for enjoying the city. ... more   less

“For me, being able to look outside onto the street was a real plus. It can be a bit noisy on weekend nights but it doesn't go on too late.”
  • Corner room on the first (i.e. just up the stairs so you don't have to wait for the elevator) fl
  • Again, the corner room (#13).
