Novotel Les Halles has the perfect location in Paris, but prices are also so steep that I haven’t stayed there for many years. However, just ahead of my last trip, I changed my reservation to Novotel, because I learned from Tripadvisor that the hotel that I had initially booked had its reception a flight of stairs up and also had...

I had difficulty finding a well-located affordable hotel for my family of four in Paris and since it was July, I was concerned about stifling, hot weather. Most of the affordable hotels that accommodated families did not have air-conditioning. So, I opted for the Novotel Les Halles, which was air-conditioned and was comparably priced. At the hotel, our original room,...

I recently returned from a trip to Paris staying at the Novotel Les Halles and unfortunately have to say I was disappointed. Whilst clean and relatively comfortable I felt the hotel was quite cheap and nasty and not worth the amount they charge for a room. The lobby area is nice but once we went up the lifts to our...

Stay here for a week with my familly 2 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 8. Used it as a base for exploring all the Paris sites and a trip to Disneyland. It's about the best price / location you can get for a familly. Lots of restaurants within 2-3 mins walking distance. Walking distance to the sites 5-30...

Generally acceptable for Paris with a good location and close to major sites and Metro. Room quality satisfactory and reasonabilly clean. Carpets seems too thin. Staff efficient and well verse in english. Hotel ideal for North American tourist who cares more for cleanliness and efficiency than experience true French experience. I happened to fall into this category. Note to North...

We booked this hotel as part of a Eurostar package for three adults. We arrived at approx 1030 but were told we could not check in until 1500. A check-in time so late is pretty poor form. They did have a luggage room that was kept under lock and key and all bags were tagged. We at least had some...

I purchased 4 nights via price line and got a great deal. I think it has all been said before, but here it goes anyway -rooms are clean and functionable. -the location to the sites and the metro is fantastic -there are a few good restaurants a short walk from the hotel (we ate at a Moroccan place that was...

A good quality hotel in a good location, just a 5 minute walk to The Louvre and about 15 mins to Notre Dam. Their is also a Metro Station just outside the main entrance. During the day the area is full of charming bistros and restaurants and is quite lively with office workers and tourists. Some other reviews have mentioned...

Stayed for 3nights while sightseeing Paris - room was adequate for our family with a large teenager and 10 year old. Breakfast was plentiful but quite busy so worth getting there early. Good location as you can walk to the Louvre, Pompidou easily. Had an evening meal in restaurant and compared to Paris prices it was quite good value. Surrounding...

Staying in Les Halles

Neighbourhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
