This hotel is located in a beautiful 19th-century pedestrian arcade that is shut off at night so you don't get too much street noise. My room was simple, comfortable and not too small either. The breakfasts were decent enough. Unfortunately I did get a fair deal of noise from the plumbing in the neighbouring room, and the bathroom didn't have...

- Amazing Location. Take the Roissybus from the airport to the Opera(bus stop) but don't attempt to find the hotel from there. Just take a taxi and save your valuable time and energy. They shouldn't charge you more than 10 Euros. Its really near but too complicated to find. - Rooms and bathrooms are clean. They do daily Housekeeping but...

We stayed in Hotel Chopin in room 205. A really nice and quite (in the middle of Paris!) room. The hotel is located in a beautiful passage Jouffrey with really nice shops. The passage Panorama, across the main road, has some really nice restaurants (for lunch and diner). Leaving passage Jouffrey, go left, first street left for great restaurant Cartier....

I have stayed twice at the Hotel Chopin, and really love it. The location is excellent - two minutes from a metro stop (Grands Boulevards) and the approach is via a wonderful old arcade. The rooms are small, but adequate and clean, and quiet - apart from the jolly sound of children in the school nearby. Breakfast is very good...

If you like to be within 20 minutes of walking distance from all of Paris, Hotel Chopin is your base. More so if you like the flair of old Paris. Hotel Chopin offers adequate rooms with no spectacular view, some with a shower, some with a bathtub. The rooms and the facilities are very clean for a 2 star hotel...

Following a 5 minute walk from the Metro we arrived at the entrance to the arcade, fantastic way to approach any hotel, but we were in Paris after all. A truly unique Parisian experience. The rooms although small were clean & adequate and excellent value, for Paris. My shower was probably the smallest that I have ever experienced, but you...

The people who work at reception are very kind and helpful, making it easy for first time Paris visitors to get acquainted. We came in early and had an option of taking a first floor room with a shower instead of a bath, so we were happy to have that option. The location gives you walking access to restaurants, cafes,...

The visit began with family but he was called home. Which meant my French speaking guide was gone. With the help of Sandrine at Hotel Chopin, I was fine. She helped me navigate when I was unsure. And the location was perfect for walking, for the sight-seeing bus and for the train. Thank you Hotel Chopin for making my first...

I typically travel for business, and Hotel Chopin would fall short on those criteria: Spotty wifi, no gym or room service, fairly spartan accommodations. But for the vacationer in Paris, it pretty much checks all the boxes. The hotel is steps from the Metro, and while I wouldn't necessarily want to hang out on the Grand Boulevard, the neighbourhood is...

If you are looking for a quiet and cheap hotel, perfekt located 150 m from metro Grand Boulevards, and only a few hundred meters from the Opera, this small hotel could be your choice. But: only if you don't care that it is very old, and has not been maintained for many many years, that you will be trapped in...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
