The plus factor about this charming hotel is that it peaceful and silent. You can sleep with your window wide open an in the morning there are no sirens or cars to be heard. Great staff, rooms are fine - not that big but this is Paris after all. I will definitely return!

Dear Mr_Puffet, Thank you very much for sharing your experience. We are pleased to read that you enjoyed staying with us. Saint-Germain des Près is a lively area with Brasserie Lipp, Les Deux Magots or Café de Flore, but even if we are in the center of the area, we are lucky to be hidden in a quiet courtyard. Rooms...

I love this hotel when Im traveling solo in Paris. What a wonderful find tucked into a corner off Rue Jacob in St Germain de Pres. Perfect if you like small rooms (very small) with an authentic Paris feel- which I do! Decor is quirky in a Parisian way which I think is great. Probably wouldnt suit someone who wants...

Dear Heidi2010, What can we say except "thank you very much for your kind comment"?! The whole staff were touched by the words used to describe your experience at Hotel Des Marronniers. You gave true and interesting informations to readers. Rooms are not big, it is important to know, and decoration, even if it is renovated, is not modern. We...

Great left bank location less than 5 mins walk from St Germain metro. Easy walking distance to Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee d' Orsay etc. Lots of restaurants nearby + left bank designer shops. Dear ST0801, We thank you for sharing your opinion about your stay at Hotel Des Marronniers. As you wrote it, our rooms, specially single rooms, are not big at all. However, we tried to make it nice and comfortable, and we are pleased to read that you appreciated that. Saint-Germain des Près is very central, and you can walk to...

This is an elegant Hotel with excellent amenities in an ideal location near the heart of Paris. We walked to our favorite neighborhoods, museums, shops, restaurants, churches. The staff was friendly and helpful with cabs, shuttles, directions. We liked the Hotel so much we returned the following week before we departed Paris.

Like, as I have come to find out< all Paris this hotel is ridiculously priced for what you get particularly as breakfast is an extra $15 euro each per night rather than included. Dear George C, Thank you for choosing our hotel for your visit of Paris. We are glad to read that you "survived" to your room. Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Hotel Des Marronniers is a charming hotel tucked in a small courtyard. Our 3 star hotel has kept the intimacy and authenticity of Saint-Germain Des Pres. In the heart of a lively area, peace and tranquility can be found in the rooms overlooking the courtyard or the garden. Because the jewel of this hotel is undoubtedly the garden. In summer, breakfast can be enjoyed in the shade of chestnut trees. Otherwise, breakfast is served between 7:30 am and 11:00 am in the veranda, in the vaulted cellar or in your room. A tea room is available for guests of hotels and passers-by in the veranda, in the garden or beautiful vaulted cellar of the Hotel Des Marronniers. The property is ideally located in the center of the capital. The Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral or the Luxembourg Gardens are just a few minutes walk.
