5 stars are not enough for this beautifully appointed hotel with the kindest, most thoughtful staff I have ever encountered. I stayed for a week with my mom and from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like we were home. My mom had an issue with the deep tub in the room (she's older and could not really step in or out) and I asked to be moved to a room with a walk-in shower. Sonya and Aileanor were so gracious with the request and upgraded us to a room that was far above what I had booked - with no extra charge.
The hotel was is smallish and seems to have been recently redone (I think within the last 5 years) and it shows. Everything feels new and fresh. The rooms are light and airy and stylishly decorated. The restaurant was lovey with great food. They had a delicious breakfast each morning with lots of different options for any type of traveler, along with a Mimosa Bar which was included with the cost of the buffet. I booked the room with breakfast included and would suggest doing the same as it was a great way to start the day and nice not to have to worry about an extra cost. The staff at the restaurant was just as kind as at reception (special shout out to Sonia who actually had a cappuccino made with my face on it!) The bar is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming with plenty of seating and places to hang out. My mom and I finished each day there and again, the staff was so accommodating and warm. The hotel has a nice sized fitness room with plenty of equipment (although I admit I did not use it but probably should have.) There are plenty of staff around to help with any request and while we didn't use the services of the concierge, they were front and center and ready for any request.
The location cannot be beat. You are minutes from so many major sites. The hotel is across the street from the Louvre and the Carousel de Louvre entrance is literally steps away, which was perfect for us as it actually rained and snowed while we were there so we could dash right in. Musee d'Orsay is walkable and Palais Garnier is a 5 minute Uber ride or a 15 min walk. Place Vendome is just a short walk away and there is fabulous shopping right there on Rue St. Honore. And of course the Eiffel Tower is about a 10 minute car ride. Yet despite the location, the hotel doesn't feel touristy.
We truly had a fabulous stay. The only downside of our trip is that we were so sad to leave! I have stayed at many different hotels in Paris and will never stay anywhere else again!

Dear stephaniedN9823IF, Thank you for such a heartfelt and glowing review of your recent stay at Hôtel du Louvre. It brings us immense joy to know that you and your mother felt so warmly welcomed and at home with us. We are delighted that Sonia and Aliénor could assist in making your stay even more comfortable by accommodating your request for a walk-in shower and providing an upgrade. It is moments like these that exemplify the care and dedication of our team. Your detailed feedback about the light and stylish rooms, the delicious breakfast with its Mimosa Bar, and the welcoming atmosphere of our bar truly highlights the experience we aim to create for our guests. We’re thrilled that the location added to your convenience during your explorations of Paris, especially during the rainy and snowy weather. Sonia will be so pleased to hear about the cappuccino artwork moment—it’s touches like these that make memories last. Thank you for mentioning our attentive staff and the atmosphere throughout the hotel; these are things we cherish and continuously strive to enhance. It’s an honor to be your preferred hotel in Paris moving forward. We look forward to welcoming you back for many more fabulous stays! Warm regards, Gautier PY General Manager Hôtel du Louvre

We would have preferred a room with a shower but the one we were given had a bathtub (with shower and therefore very uncomfortable) and no other rooms of the same type with shower were available. At the time of booking it was not known whether the room would have a shower or a bathtub and therefore I could not choose. I was offered a room with an upgraded shower at an additional cost. We refused. The hotel should have absorbed the surcharge given that it had not informed us of the presence of the bathtub, nor given us the possibility to choose or change hotels in the absence of rooms with shower.

We stayed at Hotel du Louvre 3 times in 2024 and (at least) 6 times since 2021, and it feels like each stay keeps getting better.
One of the things I love most about the hotel is that its easy to get to from CDG. Whether you take a taxi or take an RER/Metro, it can be straight forward to get there. Because we often arrive far earlier than check in, they are always prepared to store our bags while we wait. They even have a shower available if you want to freshen up. This is such an underrated luxury.
The rooms are extremely comfortable with high ceilings, plenty of lighting, and comfortable and luxurious finishes. I love the heated towel racks (especially in winter), and the water pressure and hot water availability is fantastic. The beds and linens are high quality and comfortable. Even the standard rooms are large by Parisian standards.
If you are a light sleeper, you might want to request a quiet room that faces the interior. Personally, I love being able to open the windows and listen to the music in the squares around the hotel. (The windows and blackout curtains will shut out the noise.)
Breakfast is served in the beautiful Bocuse restaurant. There is something for everyone. There is also a creative cocktail bar that is perfect for an aperitif or a nightcap.
While the location is busy and can often be crowded, the Hotel du Louvre really is a fantastic location for sightseeing. It's convenient to a number of metro lines, sightseeing, and you can get around easily. It's the perfect hotel for a first trip to Paris, a romantic trip to Paris, or even a return trip to Paris.

Our stay at this hotel was disappointing for several reasons. We had a family member who wasn’t feeling well, so we asked housekeeping to clean our room during a specific time window on two days. Unfortunately, they didn’t manage to accommodate this request on either day. To make matters worse, on another day, a housekeeping staff member came into our room without knocking, even though we had the “Do Not Disturb” sign on. That was completely unacceptable.
The room service menu was also a letdown - way too limited, especially for a hotel at this price point and with a Michelin rated restaurant. The breakfast buffet was another disappointment. The options were underwhelming and not any better than Hyatt Regency for example.
On top of all that, the hotel staff were not friendly at all. During our 6-day stay, not once did anyone greet us when we walked through the lobby. It felt impersonal and unwelcoming, which was a letdown considering the hotel's reputation.
Overall, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. With better attention to guest needs, friendlier staff, and improved food offerings, it could have been much better.

Dear benjaminbuttonn, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. We are truly sorry to learn that your stay did not meet your expectations. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the issues you encountered with housekeeping, particularly regarding the scheduling of your room cleaning and the unacceptable incident of entering your room despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign. This falls short of our standards, and we will reinforce our procedures to ensure such occurrences do not happen again. We also regret that our in-room dining menu and breakfast buffet did not meet your expectations. Your comments have been shared with our culinary team as part of our ongoing efforts to improve. Lastly, we are disappointed to hear that you found our staff unwelcoming during your stay. Providing a warm and personalized experience is a priority for us, and we will work diligently to address this concern. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to deliver the experience you rightfully expect from Hôtel du Louvre. Best regards, Gautier PY General Manager Hôtel du Louvre

I decided to book this hotel instead of Regina hotel only because the staff at their Reservations told me that the family suite was able to accommodate two adults and three small children. Good thing I had the presence of mine to book for only one night just to see if we liked the family suite because when I inquired about booking the hotel for the remaining of the vacation, they rudely told me that only four people would be accommodated in the family suite followed by asking us to switch to some other suite that was over $2000 a night. No, thank you! The family suite which was well around $1200 had zero view, the tiniest two rooms and the tiniest bathroom. I have stayed at this hotel before and a regular queen room which had more space than this so-called family suite at twice the cost. However, absolute worst part was the rudeness of the staff at the front desk and the guy who brought up the luggage. Despite multiple request for something to put our luggage on top of and room slippers, nothing was sent until 7 to 8 hours later. The only thing in their favor is their location otherwise nothing is good about this hotel at least not anymore. The next morning, we switched to Regina hotel which not only costed less, but also was able to accommodate us into connecting rooms at much less of our price without any fuss and a gorgeous louvre view!

Dear Sheyz9, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We deeply regret that your recent experience at Hôtel du Louvre did not meet your expectations, especially regarding the accommodations and the service you received. We sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding about the capacity of the family suite and the inconvenience it caused. It's disappointing to hear about the issues with room amenities and the delay in fulfilling your requests. This is not reflective of the high standards we strive to maintain. Your comments about the rudeness of our staff are particularly concerning. Please know that we take such feedback very seriously and will be addressing this matter with our team to ensure that this does not happen again. We're glad to hear that our location was a positive aspect of your stay, but we understand that this does not make up for the other shortcomings. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our services and facilities. We hope you had a pleasant stay at the Regina Hotel and would like to extend our apologies once again for any inconvenience you experienced during your time with us. Best regards, Gautier PY General Manager Hôtel du Louvre

Beautiful hotel - very well positioned in the centre of Paris. The room was amazing and the decor was impeccable, it was super clean, spacious, light and airy with a little balcony overlooking the Louvre. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows like soft clouds, there was plenty of hanging and drawer space and the bathroom was large and very clean with super soft towels, robes and bath slippers. Toiletries and hairdryer were provided as was a kettle, tea / coffee and coffee machine. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful with directions and taxis and pointing out places to eat and see. It was an amazing place to stay and I’d go back in a heartbeat. Thank you.

My husband and I enjoyed a two night stay at the front end of a two and a half week visit to France. This hotel is centrally located in a charming part of town sooo close to the Louvre and the Seine as well as the fantastic shopping areas. We stayed in a Heritage suite and appreciated the space and beautiful views. After flying all night we appreciated that the suite was ready and that we could be comfortable and rested. We loved the welcome treats as well. The hotel bar is gorgeous and a place to enjoy a drink at the end of a busy day of sightseeing and then again after dinner. We had dinner our first evening in the hotel’s restaurant - we were just too tired to venture far. It was very good. I was so enamored by the lemon server that I asked if I could purchase some….imagine my delight when the waiter returned with a bag of them! Breakfast was included and was very good. My husband enjoyed his omelette and I loved the buffet with its many offerings. Service here was wonderful and we really appreciated the professionalism of the staff. We have been to Paris many times and enjoyed the location of this hotel very much. The service and elegant appointments were additional great pluses. Highly recommend!

Exceptional service by majority of staff, especially front desk, concierge, doormen, management. Unbeatable in terms of friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism... truly above and beyond. Had an issue w/ housekeeping entering our room despite our request not to, but management made amends for this.
Best central location in Paris, walkable to many major sites, metro station very nearby.
Received upgraded room as a Globalist, not to a suite, but on 1st floor as requested and with a nice view as requested. The room was quieter than expected. Heard the metro below us, but it was not bothersome... and I tend to be a light sleeper
Would I stay again? Possibly, as we had a very nice experience. However this property does not allow Hyatt suite upgrade awards, which is a major factor for me. The Park Hyatt Place Vendome does allow SUAs, so that may be a better value for a Globalist.
Pros: Exceptional and gracious service Very responsive management for resolution of concerns Central location Generous and delicious breakfast for Globalists Quiet, despite busy location Very near metro Unlimited bottles of water provided upon request Clean rooms (I am picky about this) Beautiful decor Welcome amenity provided
Cons: No Hyatt suite upgrade awards allowed (I requested one but did not receive) Housekeeping did not respect "do not disturb" request Mattress was too firm, gave me a backache. Resolved by placement of extra mattress pad Very slow wifi... had to use my hotspot Mediocre shower pressure

Beautiful five-star hotel, the place to be pampered and centrally located. Everything about this hotel is luxury- from the front door staff and concierge treatment to the bar and the rooms, the views, the cleaniness, the most comfortable beds/bedding. Whatever you need, just ask them. Everyone speaks English and are there to help. Breakfast was included in our rate and we took advantage of it every morning- a broad selections of hot foods, pastries, charcuterie and cheeses, cereals, etc. The bar was lovely and a great place to lounge before dinner or in between sightseeing. We had a Lourve suite on the fourth floor: gorgeous views of both the Lourve and down the avenue towards the opera house. We were here for Christmas and they even delivered a sweet surprise to us Christmas Eve! You can’t go wrong with Hotel du Lourve.

Such a wonderful hotel and homebase for our Paris trip. The hotel is in a perfect location. It is a short walk to several attractions including the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame etc. There is a metro stop directly outside of the hotel with the 1 and 7 lines that will quickly bring you anywhere in the city. This was so convenient and made our long days of sightseeing easy. We booked a rate with the breakfast included, which was well worth it and filled us up for a full day of sightseeing.
We were originally put in a room on the top floor, but the ceilings were a bit low. I have a tendency to get a bit claustrophobic, so I spoke with the front desk who was beyond gracious and reassigned us to a room on the 2nd floor. It is wonderful customer service like this that will keep me coming back to Hotel du Louvre! I will note that the original room did have 2 beautiful balconies and a large bathroom, so would be a great room for some, just depending on preference.
Overall beautiful hotel in a great location with wonderful staff. Will definitely be returning!

Yes and yes. We decided it was not worth it b/c it was something like $6 a pair of underwear. We found a laundry service in town and had them do our entire load for something like $30.
