Coming to Paris for the first time to celebrate my wife's "significant" birthday along with her sister and her husband it was important to find the right hotel in the right location - The Lancaster is that hotel ! On arrival we were upgraded to a suite and there was champagne on ice in the room - they didn't need...

Having waited a week and received no reply from the General Manager of the Hotel Lancaster I thought it appropriate to post this review, no exactly a great advert for a hotel that is supposed to be a 5 star luxury establishment! Dear xxxxxx I hope by now someone has mentioned to you about our complaint. My wife and I...

Dear Guest, First of all, I would like to thank you for informing me about your disappointment. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the technical issue with the draining net in your bathroom. It is an isolated case and I regret that we did not identify the matter before your arrival. I understand the situation was not handled as you...

We booked this hotel due to location, and it was great! We pretty much walked everywhere. Very friendly staff, rooms were clean and nice sized. The bell man were extra helpful! and our breakfast every morning in the bar was perfect.

Our first stay at the Lancaster was lovely in every way. Very friendly staff, almost all of whom spoke excellent English. Pristine rooms with tasteful, traditional decor. Marble bathrooms with superb showers. The heating/AC system was completely noiseless (unlike some even more expensive hotels I've stayed in) and the rooms were very quiet. Free wifi was an unexpected surprise. The...

Despite being part of the leading hotels of the world this hotel belongs more to the 3 stars category than to the 5 luxury ones. From the location to the breakfast everything looks cheap and badly mantained. My room was very spatious but with that tipical smell of old and shabby. The bathroom worthless. It is impossible for me to...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments on TripAdvisor regarding your recent stay. We are sorry to learn that the Lancaster is perhaps too understated for your taste. Curiously enough the comment we hear frequently is that our resident guests and local visitors appreciate the subtle elegance. Our gastronomic restaurant “La Table du Lancaster quoted 2 stars in the Michelin...

The Lancaster is a charming hotel. Location is fantastic, steps off the Champs-Élysées. George V and Franklin D Roosevelt metro stations are minutes away. An abundance of fine restaurants are scattered along the Champs-Élysées, with a cluster of them a few blocks down Av George V. The hotel is small, rooms are spacious. It's old world charm with modern baths....

The Lancaster is a lovely hotel just off the Champs-Élysées. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised, as we had been upgraded one notch to a bigger suite facing the quiet inner courtyard. Rooms were spotless, somewhat quirky in the old-hotel-way, yet absolutely charming. The staff was attentive and friendly in a pleasantly informal way. The bar and breakfast was entirely...

“We booked thru American Express platinum - the fine hotels program and had upgraded rooms and champagne. Lovely hotel and would return. Allister, the door man was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large and immaculate. Clarins bath products and very nice breakfast. I recommend highly - we did a long weekend and the location was great for seeing the city. Close to arch and shopping. Beautifully quaint yet high end. Such a great walking city and so much to see. ”

“I have no advice, as I did not see any of the other rooms.”
  • Safe only accessible by kneeling and viewing a few inches above floor level. Drop not enough to
  • Only other cupboard has no shelves.
  • The sink looked as though it suffered from an unpleasant infection
  • No space in the sink area or bathroom for a reasonable amount of toiletries needed for 3 nights.

“ No TV to watch if you have half a brain. Very biased news agencies only like CNN. I can't stand that deplorable rhetoric. They need to get Russian TV or Fox News. The employees were over-the-top being friendly and helpful. The service was impeccable. The entire hotel was very clean. The concierge was knowledgeable and helpful . There was a little bit of construction on the street but you never heard of anything. The breakfasts were very good and it was nice to just come back to the bar and have a quiet drink before going to beds They had great recommendations for dinner each night. And the other clientele to stay there he was very respectful and seemed family oriented”
