I had read some of the other reviews, but as this hotel is very close to where my daughter lives, I thought I'd give it a go (other hotels have been disappointing). The first problem we had was the price, we were advised that the price we would pay was €224, however we were charged just over €246, which I...

The people at the hotel were friendly but the room was quite poor. It stunk of cigarette and the pillow I slept on wreaked of smoke. My partner and I went home with cigarette smelling clothes when we don't even smoke. Breakfast was fine but we had to request top ups to bread and other things when they ran out....

Very clean. Friendly staff. Easy access to metro. Comfy bed. We arrived earlier than the check in but because the room was ready we were allowed in. Which was great. Definitely a great hotel for a small visit.

Well it was good for money considering I booked this last minute for New Years. Here my take on the hotel and the classic double room Pros: 1) Great for metro use-literally 50 steps out the front of the hotel and you on the metro. 2) The bed is super comfy I slept like a rock. 3) Budget food options...

We had a great time visiting Paris. The hotel is nice with comfy rooms and it is clean. The location is superb, perfect to explore all the main touristic activities Paris can offer. Plus the romantic and hipster-like area of the famous canal St Martin is perfect for 2 with nice restaurants and bars at our door. We would definitely...

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
