We booked this hotel not knowing at all where it was. Close to metro and right near the Popular Moulin Rogue. Easy to get into Paris to see al main attractions. Rooms extremely tiny and a bit suffocatiig. carpet was in need of a desperate vacuum.

Small clean room, quiet street, good value. Good location for restaurants, bars, metro and Monmartre. Typical French hotel with basic facilities you are in Paris so you don't want to spend long in the hotel.

Yes, good location for metro and the sacre-Coeur. Pleasant staff. Terrible, overpowering smell in the bathroom - sulphuric almost. The shower head was falling off the wall (fixed promptly the next day), however, should not have been like that in the first place. Despite "sound proof" Windows (completely untrue by the way) and earplugs I was unable to sleep due...

Place was average. Elevator was too small to accommodate 2 inclusive of luggage. Near 2 metros, Moulin Rouge , the so called Red District, and lots of shops, eateries nearby. walking where souvenirs can be bought. WIFI was a problem, too slow and kept on disconnecting. Might have left my laptop Charger too...sad!

Our room had a broken bed, and very small. Noisey and basic. Good location, if your a film buff French kiss was filmed in this area. Personally I wouldn't stay in this hotel again, not a family hotel.

We enjoyed the environment in the Montmarte area, and were within walking distance of Sacre Coeur. The elevator was a tight squeeze for 2 people, and the room was tight as well. You have to step up to the shower, which resulted in my landing flat on my back on the tile floor. Wasn't hurt - just winded. Room was...

It has a great location near the metro, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge and the red light district (at the bottom of the hill on the main street if you're wondering, you can't miss the neon signs!) The room was quite small with no aircon. There was fan/heater on the wall but it didn't work. The room and shower were very...

We stayed here for my birthday trip in March, and I can't fault it. The reception staff were helpful and polite, the location cannot be faulted, there are lots of nice little cafes and eateries around it. The bed was quite comfortable and it was pretty basic, however it was cheap and just a base for us exploring Paris. I...

We stayed here at the end of January for a mid week break. Its in a fab location for Sacre Coeur which is about a ten minute (uphill) walk away and literally a few minutes from the nearest Metro Station. Around 6-7 stops into central Paris. We didnt have the breakfast but there are plenty of cafes and bars around...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
