As mentioned by other reviewers, it is difficult to imagine a better location for tourists in Paris. I stayed in the one-bedroom apartment 305 with my family (I, my wife and two daughters - 1 adult and 1 children) during a week (9th-16th Feb 2012). The windows faced an open internal courtyard and the apartment was impressively quiet, considering the...

Stayed twice in this apartment hotel and love it! Absolutely perfect location for a holiday in Paris! Just right across Galeries Lafayette & Printemps, Roissy bus (from CDG) is just around the corner, RER entrance (Auber - direct line to Disney World!) is right in front of the hotel, and just a short walk to Metro & L'Open Tour bus...

Weekend in Paris - 8th - 11th December 2011. Couple aged 28 and 29, were seeking modern touches, kitchen facilities in room, and great access to the centre of Paris for walking tourism! We got off to a bumpy start for our weekend, having originally been booked into the Adagio / Citea Paris Tilsitt Champs Elysees... We were transferred by...

The location of this hotel is just in the center of everything. 10 steps out the door you are in galleries lafayette and down the road is also printemps for your shopping needs :) 15 steps from the door is the bus for the airport and rer entrance (auber). Infront of the door is uniqlo for your clothing needs. At...

The thing about this place is really about value for money and the location which gives access to RER/ Metro and opposite key shopping area (Lafayette and others). It is not really a hotel but a service apartment so you have to set your expectations right. Example, we had to pay 20Euro deposit to borrow a hairdryer (which is fine)....

Incredible value (for Paris), convenient location for Galeries Lafayette, Le Printemps and others. But especially good for last night before flying, as the Opera Roissybus leaves just around the corner to CDG. We therefore chose this as our "one night" stop after returing to Paris from other regions, with flight next morning. Could not be more convenient - espeically if...

This was my 5th stay at Orion Haussmann. Stayed here due to its convenience location and value for money. My first two stays were really nice and impressive but the following were getting worst and worst, in term of room cleaniness, staff attitude and service standard. Decided to come back for my 5th stay as the hotel Manger show her...

My sister and I recently stayed at the Orion Paris Haussmann and we truly enjoyed our stay in this centrally located residence-hotel. We were updated to a large, very clean suite with twin beds and cuisinette, a large bathroom with bath and wonderful view of Le Printemps and Galeries Lafayette (room 116). Location is perfect and very close to Les...

Stayed just for 1 night, the hotel is actually on the 4th floor, once you find the way to open the main door with the key pad, it's all easy. Friendly staff at the reception, rooms are surprisingly big and well appointed. Best thing is the location just across from the subway and the Galleries Lafayette, close to the airport...

Just came back from a week at the Orion. My family and I enjoyed our stay. Rooms were cleaned daily. The staff were courteous and helpfull. Breakfast was simple and fresh, well worth the €10 for the variety and quality of food (though I wasnt too keen on the cold hardboiled egg!). The only fault if any is that it...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

“I stayed at room 201 which was meant for 4 persons had a full balcony going round the whole room..on the left, it was facing Galeries Lafayette and on the right, the opera house. Wifi worked most of the time but worked best in the toilet.”
