Cheap, really near to Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, clean, nice place, only 1 min walk to metro Barbes! Like it so much and the place was beautiful. There is a room designed for 3 people, which is a bit difficult to find anywhere else. Highly satisfied and definitely will go back here with my most beloved ones

For the price it's good value. In room shower and whb and more spacious than I expected for Paris though that isn't saying much. Toilets are on the half landings and a bit of a squeeze but everywhere seemed clean and newish except for the staircase which let it down a bit. V good for metro, cheap breakfast at Quick...

Stayed for 2 nights with my 2 teenagers, we're backpacking across Europe and didn't fancy a hostel in Paris so opted for a hotel. This hotel is cheap but very clean and suited our needs perfectly. The downside would be no lift , this wasn't an issue for us but I wouldn't like to carry suitcases up a winding staircase....

overall for the price this hotel was quite reasonable, rooms were small but very clean, as were the showers. The breakfast was fantastic and I found the staff very friendly and engaging. My only little complaint would be that the bed was on the hard side but overall a good experience.

We went to Paris with my 10 year old and honestly, the neighborhood was more than a little sketchy. We stayed in July and found out there was no air conditioning and no fans. To top it all off the rooms start on the second floor and our room was on the 5th floor, that means hauling our luggage up...

Just what we were looking for. Very close to Gare de Nord and the metro. Walking distance to the centre. Good price. Room is not massive but it was clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet at night and the staff were polite and helpful.

No elevators, Rude staff. I requested them to put an extra bed to which they politely agreed. In a hotel you expect 24 hour service. They out rightly refused to put the bed in the night and fought with me the next day that I came in late and asked for an extra bed. I had booked it for two...

We stayed for 3 nights in February 2015 (couple aged 28, 30). Had a great time and would stop again. Room - Very impressed with the value and quality of the room and reception area on ground floor. We were in a comfort room on 5th floor with private bathroom. Room was fresh, warm, clean and modern. Shower room v.large....

Where to even begin.. Me and my partner (23 and 25) arrived here for a 4 day stay, but I wouldn't have stayed here for 4 minutes had I known what it was going to be like. By far the worst hotel (more like a hostel) I've ever stayed in. the room wasn't big enough to swing a cat in,...

They are in the process of remodeling all the rooms in this charming little hotel at the base of Montmartre. Walking distance to the Gare du Nord, Barbes Rochechouart Metro, and Sacre Coeur attractions, not to mention great little neighborhood cafes, used bookstores, and boutiques--you could do worse on a budget in Paris. The neighborhood is indeed lively and populated...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
