Overall staff were very helpful in every aspect, from places to visit to providing buckets of ice to the room, I emailed in advance as I have trouble sleeping and they upgraded us from a deluxe to a suite on the fifth floor away from the lift - excellent!! Twice aday, the room service came to your room. In the...

I have stayed all over Paris and have never found a hotel I would return to until now. The hotel and staff are fabulous. 6 of us went for my mother in law's 60th birthday and the manager upgraded us all to suites which was a wonderful surprise. The decor is fantastic and for Paris I think the rooms are...

Really loved this Hotel. This is my first time in Paris and I would stay here again. It is very near to Galleries La fayette, the Italienne quarter and the Opera House. The staff are very helpful and friendly . The room was small but adequate. Overall a very good experience.

My husband and I stay here. We had an executive room, which was a nice decor and modern. The bed was a bit small tho... The staff was very friendly and super helpful. We both enjoyed staying here, and would definitely stay here again!

We were recommended this hotel by a friend, so we stayed here for a night on our return to Paris..great to have a different location/ area to stay in, and just loved this hotel! It was a delight to walk in to,. I loved looking around the lobby of this once-a-bank hotel, full of quirky ornaments. Our room was great,...

Paris is full of hotels. Paris is actually full of crappy hotels: expensive, dirty, small places. This one is a clear exception: clean, big rooms and can offer good prices if booked in advance. Location-wise the Banke Hotel is right in front of Lafayette, close to the metro and to Bvld. des Italiens (cinema, restaurants). Staff is very nice, restaurant...

Stayed at the Banker Hotel in Paris at the end of June. Hotel is located close to the Opera and a short walk from the Roissybus stop (which was an extremely convenient and inexpensive way to get to and from CDG airport). It was also close to the subway/RER station so getting around was easy. Hotel has a great old...

We didn't really want to stay at a 4-star but accommodations were scarce. Don't get me wrong, we don't regret it. . . it was a romantic way to spend our last three days of a month trip to France and Spain. . . but for a 4-star, I would've expected a larger room and a more comfortable sleeping experience....

We typically stay at another 4-star hotel on the left bank when visiting Paris and thought we would try a hotel on the right bank for one night this time before flying home. Hotel Banke is close to Galeries LaFayette if you like shopping, and within walking distance of museums and other attractions. Given the descriptions on the hotel website...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
