Location: Right on the banks of a canal, extremely beautiful location. Near to 2 metro stations & a bus stop, getting back to the hostel even very late at night was not difficult (1.30am). There are also a couple of restaurants/bakeries nearby & even a SuperMarket. Room: I stayed in a 10 bed female dorm. The pictures posted by other...

Me & my husband stayed here for 3 days. It is a very average place but we wanted to experience the hostel stay so chose Christopher's Inn. Pros: Location Great place to socialise Cons: The breakfast buffet was quite average.Although it's included in the package it's better to avoid.

I`ve stayed twice at the hostel and each time has been a great experience. The hostel is well located betwwen two lines of the metro and next to the canal giving a great atmosphere. At the first floor have a bar with a menu full of burgers and hot wings, and offer discounts for who is staying at the hostel....

I stayed in a 12 bed mixed dorm, there are curtains for each bed and a light and power point. Bathrooms down the hall were kept clean. Simple yet effective free breakfast. Quick walk to Riquet metro stop, decent to walk at night too. Common room area has a kettle and vending machine. We got mugs from the Belushi's bar.

I stayed here for 6 nights in early February. I chose this place as I like its location - it's not central, but is quiet and has beautiful view of the canal. Moreover, their breakfast (free if booked directly) is great: baguettes and cereals aside, you get cheese, ham and yogurt! I had been here eight years ago and it...

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
