Very average hostel, I feel as if the guests aren't really treated in a magnificent manner. I'm not sure if its paris or the function of these hostels, but the attitude is dull and seem to have no interest. Other than that its just a bed in a nice city. Thus its meh for me, I would go back only... More

I felt that the staff was slightly lacking in making the guest feel welcome. Felt a bit like another 'paying customer'. They informed me about the hostel and rules etc, but I just didn't feel that 'at home' as I usually do. So if you just want somewhere to sleep it's okay. Included breakfast which was nice (a very good... More

The good: The private room we booked was great, large, clean and with a big balcony. Atmosphere in the common areas was great everyone having fun. Ate a few times at the restaurant food was decent. I don't remember his name but i'm sure he was the manager, always made sure things were running smoothly and we were enjoying our... More

Staid there one night because I could not come back home. This place is very nice for young tourists that don't want to spend to much money in other expensive place. The location is very good. The big plus is that you can meet pleople from all over the world and spend good time with them.

Stayed with my boyfriend for just one night. It was a great deal for a one bedroom in Paris for a short stay, indeed. Would definitely recommend it more for solo travelers who are looking to have a good time. I didn't find the pictures quite matched what we booked and it was definitely loud and noisy with the bar&party... More

This is the perfect example of what a hostel should be. The pod bunks with privacy curtain and plug were genius! The view from our window of the canal was amazing and the staff were super helpful. 5 stars from this awesome hostel!

This is certainly one of the nicer hostels I have stayed in. Clean, spacious and the curtains provide that extra bit of privacy. Safe and secure, plenty of other friendly guests. A cool bar down stairs and extremely well insulated club in the basement for those wanting a little bit of dancing. Props to staff here who are all friendly... More

Absolutely loved this place! It was the most amazing room and amazing view, wanted to stay and live here! Room was small but we spend most of our time on our private balcony! Great that there was food available in the hostel and beautiful area to go for walks.

Staying in La Villette

Neighbourhood Profile
La Villette
This futuristic landscape has come to define the northeast of Paris. The Saint-Denis canal is framed with luscious lawns and metallic buildings over a wide-open space. Home to Europe's largest science museum, this area rewards daytime and nighttime explorations; there are three concert spaces, plus cinemas and bars, and even open-air cinema in the summer. The surrounding homes are a sharp contrast to the futuristic space. Though on the outskirts of Paris, La Villette is worth the short Metro ride from the centre.
