I've taken 2 trips to Paris a year for about 6 years now and I always like to stay in this San Michel - San Germaine area in the 5th. I've stayed at this hotel 4 times over the years but this is the first time in a while. It's had some changes recently to the decor so it's not... More

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights early August. The hotel's location is fantastic, you could simply walk to most major attractions- the metro station is a stone throw away. We always stay in this area when we visit Paris and we're lucky this time to find a great, last minute deal. The whole hotel underwent recent renovations without losing... More

We loved the hotel - although the baths & toilets were a bit weird.

I'm an artist. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks. Place Maubert is around the corner, as is everything else: St. Michel, Notre Dame, La Cite, etc, etc. This is the most convenient location in Paris. The metro station is one block away. The Place is a marvel. There's the Metro Cafe that's open later than... More

Stayed here for four nights and found the location to be simply perfect. Located on a very quiet side street it's shielded from the noise and the bustle, but yet literally a stone's throw is the bustle of Bd Saint-Germain, which is full of cafés, bars and restaurants - ideal for a short stroll back in the evening. Very near... More

I haven't written hotel reviews in a while, never been good at it, but here goes. I don't have high standards when it comes to hotels, mostly I stay in the cheapest, clean, places I can find. A hotel is only for sleeping in, right? That's probably partly why I was very pleasantly surprised as I entered the lobby of... More

Excellent central location yet in quiet side street. Friendly and helpful staff. Very close to metro station and Batobus on the Seine for easy transport, and near to RER station for direct rail transfer from Charles de Gaulle airport. Room very good standard for central Paris with updated decor, shower wet room and flat screen tv. Highly recommended.

This place is in a great location and that is its saving grace. We arrived after a long trip and my husband was quite ill with a bunch of luggage that I had to drag myself and I got absolutely no help from the man at reception - in fact as soon as he saw us he ran back his... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighbourhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighbourhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
