WOW. What a wonderful hotel and stay. Decor, cleanliness, ambiance, location...all perfect, but the thing that really sets this hotel apart is the level of service / kindness of those running the hotel. We traveled with our 2.5 year old daughter and they went above and beyond to make us, and her, feel at home. Room on the ground floor for easy access with our stroller (totally soundproof by the way, have never been in a room this quiet), nuna crib which was beautifully made up with a mini duvet and mini pillow), macarons in room waiting for her, branded coloring book and color pencil set, welcome wine and fresh juice for her and most importantly, wonderful women who greeted her everyone morning in french and would bring a grumpy child with them to get a fresh croissant (her favorite). They heard her mention "croissant" the first morning, and took is upon themselves to make her morning every morning thereafter. Many more instances of this kindness, I could go on and on. Our daughter had a meltdown about leaving the hotel our last morning, and honestly, we shares her sentiment. We can't wait to be back. Do not hesitate to book, this is a really special place.

This is an amazing boutique hotel in a great area of Paris, Le Marais. Its tucked into a little side street off the main road, two blocks from the Seine. It's very close to the metro and there are beautiful cafes everywhere. The staff are amazing and very friendly and can help you with almost anything! I would definitely come back to this place.

I am constantly traveling for work and spend half the year in hotel rooms so could have stayed most anywhere to celebrate my recent 50th Birthday. Took a gamble and stayed here. Jackpot. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for, could not have asked for a better stay. Their attention to detail was spot on, the room was full of character and extremely comfortable. We loved the creative design, the lighting was perfect, the bedding luxurious and personalized service gracious, celebratory and welcoming. Some may consider our room #104 to be small, however we found it cozy, the creative use of space brilliant and loved the view of the fire department across the street. Ideally situated in the Marais and just steps from Bastille, all my favorite Paris haunts were within short walking distance. We can’t wait to return.

Dear Craig C, We would like to thank you for taking the time to share your review with the TripAdvisor community. We are beyond delighted to read that you decided to take the gamble and bet on our charming hotel for your 50th birthday. Your satisfaction is truly the best of all rewards! As your title highlights, our hotel is a hidden gem at the very heart of Paris welcoming the traveller in an enchanted world. Inspired by the marvelous Empress Joséphine Bonaparte, our interior designer Bambi Sloan twisted the Directoire style and conceived each room as an intimate and glamorous boudoir. She made the most of every corner to offer our guests the comfort of their homes in a truly Parisian atmosphere. In such a mesmerising setting, we are committed to making our guests' stay absolutely memorable, and we make every single effort to do so. For our business travelers in particular, we do believe that a home away from home should be a true haven of peace where you can unwind after a long day. Once again, thank you for sharing these kind words.  We hope to welcome you again very soon at the Hotel de JoBo, be it for a holiday or a business trip.   Wonderfully yours, - - - Charlotte / Guest Relation Manager

We had the most perfect stay at the Hotel de Jobo. Aside from the location being perfectly situated in the Marais and near the metro, the service, rooms, and everything about it - people, food, decor, water pressure, romance - was better than anything we’ve experienced on a trip in a long time. The help from Catherine and the others at the front, from making reservations, obtaining ticket passes, etc far surpassed expectations and their advice was tailored to our tastes, not to arrangements they have with certain restaurants etc.

If I ever have the fortune of visiting Paris again, I will return to Hotel De Jobo. Everything was perfect. My sister and I stayed in single rooms. Both were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The shower was great and with high temps in the 80s, we especially appreciated a well air-conditioned room!! The location was perfect. Cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, bakeries, etc, were all within steps of the hotel. I honestly can't say enough good things about the hotel and area. Thank you for making our trip memorable.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to enjoy 2 nights here in a recent visit to Paris, what a treat! We chose this hotel because of the great location in the heart of Le Marais, and because we were in Paris we did not want the usual new modern hotel, but rather something that had more vintage charm and character! At around 24-28 rooms (my best guess), this hotel definitely exceeded our expectations and what it does it does very well. Note if you are looking for large hotel amenities such as gym or spa this hotel is not for you, The staff and service are amazing and they even provide FREE sparkling and still (tap) water in your fridge daily and use refillable glass carafes to do so. What a concept, provide us with a basic need (water) for free and looking out for our planet!! Back to the staff super helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, charming, and attentive. If you are looking for a truly unique 5 star experience and stay while in Paris this is it!

Dear Joel L.,  Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts about your recent stay at the Hotel de JoBo. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed our incredible location and the unique atmosphere Bambi Sloan wonderfully created in tribute to Joséphine Bonaparte.   As for your comment about the complimentary still and sparkling water provided in your room, we are glad that you have been sensitive to the little things we put in place to respect our environment. These glass bottles contain triple-filtered water, which we replace daily and free of charge. Our filtered water served in reusable glass bottles reduces plastic waste and transportation impact, lowering our carbon footprint. The entire JoBo team cannot thank you enough for your kind words about the services provided! It is a real pleasure for us to share more of our wonderful city with our guests.  We are already looking forward to welcoming you again soon! We spent our honeymoon in Paris at Jobo and couldn't have been more happy. We arrived with balloons on the bed, and the bottle of champagne was excellent. They have cold bottled water and sparkling within the fridge too. That was a nice touch. Oh, and they also included an incredible little box of macarons.

The room was actually clean and charming with rose-covered wallpaper and elegant design features. Every day, the maid service would come and actually clean, vacuum, and make the room as if we just arrived.

As you will see from the reviews, the staff are seriously helpful and accommodating. I do not remember his name, but he was a taller male receptionist and we loved running into him downstairs. He always was eager to recommend places to go and see. He even went as far as highlighting on a map a great way to talk around instead of just listening to Google Maps. Not many people care that much these days. One area we struggled with was not knowing much French (Americans) but they always were helpful.

The hotel breakfast and bar were classy. It was around 14 euros for breakfast which is an absolute steal once you start realizing prices. However, we didn't actually eat there as we wanted to explore around.

100% book a room. Thank you Jobo!

I'm delighted to share my positive review of the Hotel de Jobo with you. My recent stay at this charming hotel was simply amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base to explore the beautiful city of Paris.

Firstly, the location of the Hotel de Jobo in the heart of Le Marais is absolutely perfect. This historic neighborhood is one of the most vibrant and lively areas in Paris, with plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops to explore. The hotel is situated just a stone's throw away from the Saint-Paul metro station, which is one of the most useful and easy-to-use metro stations in the city. This made it incredibly easy for me to travel around Paris and see all of the sights I wanted to see.
The neighborhood around the Hotel de Jobo is also fantastic. Le Marais is known for its beautiful architecture, lively nightlife, and eclectic mix of cultures. There are plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and bars in the area, and I particularly enjoyed the cozy and intimate atmosphere of the nearby restaurant. The friendly staff at the hotel were happy to recommend some of their favorite spots in the neighborhood, which was really helpful.
The rooms at the Hotel de Jobo were also a highlight of my stay. They were spacious, quiet, and beautifully decorated, with a lovely fragrance throughout. I was able to get a great night's sleep every night thanks to the comfortable bed and the lack of noise from outside (even if located near a fire department). The staff at the hotel were always on hand to help with anything I needed, and they were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. We LOVED the fact that you get a bottle of still and sparking water for free every day.
Finally, I have to mention the amazing breakfast at the Hotel de Jobo. The selection of food was fantastic, with a wide range of delicious pastries, fresh fruit, and hot dishes to choose from such as scrambled eggs, pancakes, crêpes etc. It was the perfect way to start each day, and I always felt energized and ready to explore Paris after enjoying the breakfast at the hotel.
Overall, I can't recommend the Hotel de Jobo enough. The location, neighborhood, rooms, and staff all exceeded my expectations, and I had a truly amazing stay there. I want to thank the hotel and staff for the incredible experience, as well as for the lovely birthday gift that made my stay even more special. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Paris.

Charming, over-the-top decor. Rooms are very small, though they try and make the most of the space with lots of mirrors and wall hooks. The integrated USB chargers by the bed was very handy.

Be warned there are limited places to put things and you will only be sitting on the bed. The bathroom is especially tight, with no counter space.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is complimentary filtered water restocked daily in a small fridge which is otherwise empty and handy for stashing your own snacks. Wifi was reliable

I think its great value for the price & location if its for a quick weekend stay.

Dear Rachel R, We are so glad to know you enjoyed your stay at the JoBo. Thank you for taking time to write it.  It is a real pleasure to read you enjoyed the decoration of our hotel nestled in a mansion full of history. Our designer - the famous Bambi Sloan - wanted to pay a tribute to the French iconic Empress: Joséphine Bonaparte. Thereby she designed each room as a unique boudoir in Rock’n’Roll chic style. We chose to keep the spaces intact and create little and cosy cocoons to preserve the integrity of the place and its delightful atmosphere without erasing the print of history. As you mentioned, our rooms are, indeed, rather small. Given that our hotel is a former convent from the XVIIth century, we chose to preserve the integrity of the place and its history.  The JoBo would not be the JoBo without its amazing staff devoted to make your stay unique and memorable. Doing the impossible for our guest is our motto. We are pretty sure that Le Marais, district of the JoBo, cannot wait any longer to have you again at its sunny terraces or in its museums! We hope that we will have the chance to welcome you back, should you wish to return to Paris. Wonderfully yours, - - -  Charlotte / Guest Relation Manager

Truly loved our short time at the hotel. The location could not be more perfect, right in the heart of Le Marais. Many restaurants and bars and cafes located adjacent, yet also just off the main road so you are shielded from the main street noise some. The rooms are small, however you're in Paris! You won't be staying in your room much anyway. We will 100% stay at this hotel again when we inevitably return.

Dear Elrott,  What a pleasure to read your kind words: on behalf of the entire JoBo team, thank you for taking the time to share your review! A hidden gem tucked away in Le Marais yet very well connected, our hotel is just a stone's throw away from the city's main attractions. It is also surrounded by numerous bars, cafes and restaurants, be it for a chill afternoon or a romantic dinner.  After a long day walking around the City of Light and discovering its wonders, our charming rooms offer you a well-deserved respite. Our interior designer Bambi Sloan imagined our hotel as a little haven of peace offering our guests the comfort and convenience of their homes, while paying tribute to the wonderful Joséphine Bonaparte.  Given that we chose to preserve the integrity of the former convent our hotel is nestled in, our rooms can be rather small. On your next visit, do not hesitate to ask us about our superior double rooms or junior suite if you would like a more spacious room.  We hope to welcome you again very soon for another lovely getaway. Loved this hotel and thought the staff was positively wonderful. I didn’t see any kids at all but I’m sure they would love the vibe and the location. Breakfast was perfect. The rooms are very love nest feeling so maybe a separate room for them away from you and your spouse. Just a suggestion. Enjoy your trip!
