I stayed at this hotel on the first and last night of my holiday. It was with Shearings to Switzerland (Swiss Alpine Railways), It is a good hotels with comfortable beds and powerful shower. Food was good. The rooms were of a good size with air conditioning. Recommended.

Large modern hotel with all you should expect to be there, except they don't have air con turned on in the rooms. 36C but hot rooms. Expensive bar and meals. Had to unplug a lamp to be able to charge my phone no spare sockets quite mean stingy

I don't get why this hotel gets quite a high rating on TA (and Booking.com). There are 2 highlights to be mentioned: the staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is nice. All other things in this hotel are just a mess. The outside looks like it's been cleaned for the last time 10 years back. The desk...

I stayed in this hotel for the first time in 2014 which was an absolutely wonderful experience. Best swordfish I've ever had, brilliant meal and luxurious rooms. Naturally, when I booked in again this August, I had really high expectations. Sadly, and I genuinely mean this, tragically...it fell very very short. As normal, plenty of parking and a lovely clean...

Very clean attractive foyer. Friendly and helpful staff. Tiny lift to floors which is inconvenient in a large group. Room slightly antiquated but large and contained all amenities such as kettle, toiletries. Excellent breakfast with both English and Continental food. Only an overnight stop but ideal after a long journey.

This hotel has clearly only achieved 3* status by virtue of a postage stamp swimming pool. When realising that this hotel was situated in a 1980s business park and not at all suitable for a honeymoon stop off, we explained to the staff who appeared to be one step away from physically laughing at us. Héléne and her team did...

We booked this hotel for our return trip back to the UK. There was 14hrs driving from our villa to the hotel so after a long drive we expected to see a fairly modern hotel with a half decent menu. We've used Novotel (same group previously and always liked them). The rooms were ok, basic, fairly clean, but in desperate...

Booked this hotel last minute on our trip back to Belgium. I wanted a mercure in order to have some standard as I'm quite familiar with the Accor brand. But to be honest most IBIS do better, respect for the IBIS brand, but clearly Mercure is supposed to be better. The hotel is old. You can see it on the...

This hotel is in urgent need of refurbishment. Our room was in poor condition and the bathroom equipment was old and dated. Everything worked OK but the carpets, paintwork and furniture are in lass than a good state of repair. However, we did eat well in the dining room and the breakfast was excellent.

Sometimes when you walk into a hotel you get an immediate feeling whether it's going to be inviting or unfriendly. Here at this Mercure it's certainly the former. Although the outside isn't the most striking, the reception area is lovely; even a large cabinet playing host to the regions famous champagne producers really makes you feel welcome and of course...
