The hotel is located on a very pedestrian friendly street and it was also a short walk to the train station. It is also only a short walk to the "old town" where there are a ton of shops & restaurants. My wife and I enjoyed walking the streets but I think it is not quite high season yet. The...

Hotel Colbert is located in the center of Tours on a street with several good dining options. We chose to stay in Tours as our base for exploring Loire Valley and visiting the numerous Chateaus. The hotel itself is ran by a very friendly family that went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The...

We stayed at Hotel Colbert in early February when the weather in Tours was freezing cold! The welcome we received at the hotel couldn't have been warmer and our room was comfortable, clean and cosy. The hotel is well situated for the old town of Tours, with a great choice of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Our hosts...

We travelled through France over 2 weeks staying at several different hotels and Hotel Colbert is by far our favourite. The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Tours TGV train station and is located on a lively street with lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Our room was very large, decorated in...

TIP - If you are entering Tours by bus or train for the first time and you don't know where you are going print out or get a map before you go!!!! The line at the tourist office is always very long. We stood in it for 20 min. before deciding to just try it with out a map. Colbert...

The Hotel Colbert is well located, within walking distance of the train station and most of the sights. It is on Rue Colbert. Rue Colbert is one of the old, narrow streets, not subject to much vehicle traffic. A number of good restaurants are on that street with a variety of food. The staff were great and helpful. However, the...

We stayed here for two nights during a weeks trip around the Loire. I was a little put off when we first arrived at the hotel as it is pretty run down on the outside and seems to be on a pretty rough street. But we were given such a walm welcome by the owners our reservations were soom diminished....

Stayed at Hotel Colbert for 2 nights. The hotel is under new ownership by a very nice family. The hotel is very clean and a great value. It's location is quiet and close to everywhere you need to go, such as the train station and the main square. Both are about a 5-10 minute walk. The hotel owners are willing...

Stayed for three nights, the staff were great. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are recently renovated. I loved the location, perfect for mealtime and better if you like to party at night. If you need quiet to sleep, be sure to ask for a room not on the street. Mine was right above due Colbert, luckily I brought...
