Stayed here with family in august. The good: Nice receptionist, very helpful, Hotel is five minute walk from city center. The bad: not much value for money, room smelled heavily like cleaning agent, small room, no view. The Ugly: no airconditioning, which was very uncomfortable in august. Bottom line: this is a two star hotel; much better value can be...

Located across several busy intersections from the Gare, this hotel is fine and affordable. Entry on elevator to reception area where no attendant is generally present, so you may have to wait for help. Rooms are spacious, modern shower and updated bathroom. Good WiFi.

Stayed here for one night on the way to the south of France with my family. Situated on the second floor of an apartment block so not very easy to find. Very friendly and helpful staff-good English spoken. Immaculate recently refurbished rooms. Continental buffet breakfast good value at 9 Euros each. Car parking is underground-cost 15 Euros and staff must...

We stayed at Hotel Saint Aignan for 2 nights whilst travelling form the east of France to the West. This hotel looks a little unpromising from the outside but once inside, we were impressed. Our room was lovely, and definitely the best value for money out of all the places we stayed during this holiday. The welcome was good and...

We stayed here for one night on our way from Calais to North Spain and thought it was excellent value for money compared to other hotels listed. We reserved a space in the underground car park which is very safe and accessible by lift from the hotel and although that part of the stay was not cheap at 15euros, when...

Very good value for a clean, friendly, helpful hotel within 10 mins walk of Central Orleans. Rooms clean and quite recently redone it seemed. Some communal areas a bit tatty but it just didn't matter.

We stayed one night last week in this hotel. I had booked on-line directly with the hotel back in May as we wanted a triple room and they are often difficult to get. It is very central for the old centre of Orleans, restaurants and shops. We have stayed many, many times in Orleans and found this hotel to be...

My wife, 11-year-old son and I booked a family room here en route from Cahors to Calais. The hotel was easy to find, the staff were helpful, breakfast was plentiful, the hotel was clean (although the outside and the inside looked very dated) and, at 89 euros for three people for one night, what more could we expect? The biggest...

Location was excellent, shame about the weather which meant we couldn't explore as much as we'd like to. The young chap on reception was unbelievably helpful at check in with parking and luggage etc and the room was fine as we're a 5 and it can be difficult, the bathroom in particular had recently been done out. Happy to recommend.

Wanting a hotel for an overnight stop travelling from the South of France to Calais, we picked the Hotel St Aignan, mainly for the price and the family room. We were met by the most helpful staff, by very clean rooms and everything we could ask for. It was ideal for two adults and two teenage children, for a night....

“All the rooms are above second floor level but as it is in a quiet corner of the Place Gambetta anyway and rooms are double glazed I don't expect any rooms are noisy. We were on 4th floor and there was no noise at all. Lift access to all floors and garage from the Reception area.”

“When I said I didn't go in lifts on the way to the underground car park,, the man on the desk gave us a different room (without me asking) because he said the original room had been on a higher floor. I was very impressed he was so sweet about my height phobia.”
