We are cycling along the Loire and had a wonderful stay here. Francis, the host, was great. He was ok with us arriving a bit early and leaving our bikes safely in the garden area. Room was lovely and bed comfortable. Breakfast was terrific with homemade jams and yoghurt.

Stayed in "Chambre Vienne". 7 steps down at entry to room plus one step further when inside. Large room with queen size bed with firm mattress (usual for France). Large, excellent shower. Good bathroom lighting. Shutters for blacking out light. NO TV. Internet is available. Very quiet. Has patio area. Secure, enclosed, gated parking is 5 Euros and is about... More

We stayed one night in this very comfortable B and B on our way from Beynac to Bayeux. Francis is a charming and helpful host who prepared a wonderful breakfast for us. He also really helped us find our way through the maze of streets and reserved near-by parking which was such a great benefit. The garden is lovely and... More

What a fantastic location and place to stay this B and B was. We booked it 40 minutes before we arrived and it was one of the best decisions we have made. The opener was extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and decorated to a very high standard. The breakfast was fabulous the following day home made... More

We had one night here on our way through France, the bedroom was spacious and breakfast was excellent. Good host and very central to the town. Parking is tricky so worth paying to have their secure space in nearby ground.

We were here for just a night, but it was one of our favorite places during our 12-night trip throughout France. The room has a separate entrance and is nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and a spa-like bathroom. Francis was very hospitable - offered us water upon our arrival, oriented us to our room, and provide fresh, homemade jams... More

What a treat in a wonderful city. Chinon is great because the old city is so walkable and away from traffic. Castle is fantastic. Francis is so helpful and very kind about changing reservation due to family funeral. Lovely home made fresh breakfast. Clean quiet room. Fantastic location As said before parking is 10 euro more and 2 minute walk.... More

Francis and Catherine were the perfect hosts in a stunning location. I agree with everything that bartyWiltshire and HelenP947 have written. Cannot praise the breakfasts too highly - home made, different breads/pastries every morning. Room was spacious and very clean. If you are visiting the area you could not hope for better.

Quite simply there is no better place to stay. We have tried the hotels which are pricey and inconsistent. Quiet, lovely rooms, parking easy, great individual breakfasts. Vienne room huge with walk in shower and little courtyard to sit in. Host could not have been more charming - his English better than our Franglais!
