The location of this historic hotel must be unrivalled, being so close to the cultural centre of Bourges. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown to our large room with everything we needed - including limited kitchen facilities. The hotel's courtyard is not only beautiful but it also has a great view of the cathedral. One downside is that...

This is a lovely hotel. We had a beautiful room up at the top with views of the roof tops and the court yard. The room had a good coffee machine, kitchenette for heating up food, and great lighting (which is often ignored in hotels!). The woman at the reception was very kind and helped us reserve our restaurant for...

We stayed in a family apartment with 2 bedrooms and a nice bathroom.. It had nice finishing touches and offered the purchase of local wine, the towels, the furniture and even the sheets!! Very central and free parking is just up the road..

Perfectly located in the town centre, but quiet. Clean and comfortable bed. Do not confuse charm and quaintness for luxury, for this it is not. We stayed in "Pierre de la Contrie", a room which had been renovated to the standards of a good DIY person. Not professional. There were many little details just shoddy. The landing bannister posts were...

Booked as a stopover en route to the south of France and would have loved to stay longer in our little apartment at this beautiful hotel. We stayed in Le Tours an apartment with a view of the cathedral towers and overlooking the gardens. First class bed, bedding, ambience and with own facilities to make food and drinks although we...

Stopped here returning from Narbonne to break the journey back north. Lovely, quirky location and marvellous, enigmatic room in historic, restored chateau (Charles VII and Louis XI stayed - but probably on a floor lower than ours). It's old, creaky and full of character - this is the opposite of an Ibis/Formula 1. Bourges is lovely - worth a good...

This is a terrible place to stay, they never told us about the very inflexible arrival times until the afternoon on the day we were due to arrive, after the tunnel was delayed we were unable to make it in time and when we called them they said we could still stay if we call this number when we arrive,...

We stopped here for the last night of our trip to France and this was the stop before calais. Bourges is an interesting town with a magnificent cathedral. The location is neither here nor there as you have to walk around Bourges to find eateries or bars. We had reserved a 2 bedroomed suite for 2 couples. Upon arrival we...

This went badly from the beginning. The main room had one tiny window and rotten floorboards that were so weakened the furniture moves as you walk around. My youngest daughter got a splinter in her foot, despite wearing socks. The second 'bedroom' is an afterthought: stifling, no aircon and the shutters can't be closed if the window is open. There...

A really beautiful place to stay right in the middle of a historic French town. There's a real feeling of character and history in the rooms, furniture, floorboards, corridors, courtyard... Attractive grounds, view of the cathedral, great restaurants in close walking distance. We stopped off on our way through France and will definitely visit again. The staff were friendly, helpful...
