We have looked for hotels on the Loire in the past when we have been driving through France - this has to be the best so far. The location was excellent - I asked for a room with a view and that's what we got - a lovely view of the Loire. Blois is an excellent choice of a place...

I was a bit worried about arriving late. However Thierry gave me his mobile number and came to the hotel just before 10pm to let us in. He was very helpful and gave us a map of the area and pointed out various restaurants etc The hotel is really quaint with wooden beams and lot's of charm, although it has...

Nice double room; great breakfast (this is the 1st time I have written that, ever); great location; friendly welcome despite parking hiccup and my wifes awful French. Forget chain hotels these 2 have a great alternative.

Although our room was tiny it was charmingly appointed and looked out onto a pretty, quiet courtyard with flowers and fountain. The hotel had lots of interest and character and was excellent value. Easy walking distance from the best sights in Blois. Look forward to returning.

The hotel is close to the river with parking nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is small, with a quaint creaky staircase. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The rooms at the back are quieter, but have no view. We were pleased with our choice.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Cote Loire. The hosts take excellent care of you, providing succinct advice and suggestions without being overly gratuitous. The building has a history that you can feel, the bathrooms and beds are modern and comfortable, the garden is peaceful, the breakfasts are hearty and elegant, and the dinners are...

Reasonably priced hotel, conveniently located within a 5-10min walk to city centre and Saturday market. Our room was well appointed and cozy. As my travel companion was not feeling well, we opted to try dinner at the hotel. Our meal was a wonderful treat...delicious...prepared by the proprietor. Not to mention, the breakfast was lovely as well. Parking is 1min in...

Cote Loire is a little out of Blois centre, though only a 5 minute walk away. It's ugly from the outside, but quite quaint inside, and feels a bit like someone's house rather than a hotel. Our bedroom was very small, but fairly bright and cosy. There was a window with a view of a wall. The en suite had...

My wife stay in the hotel in April 2010. The place was great. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms and a great restaurant. It's walking distance to all the sights of Blois and is located right on the Loire. If you don't need an elevator, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled back from the road that follows the bank of the Loire—a five minute walk to the Blois châteaux—the Côté Loire is hidden behind foliage of the tree that shades the square. Do not judge this hotel by its two star rating. It is an intimate, 7-room hotel that was just purchased by Thierry and Laurent. With their care and attention to detail, it will soon become one of Blois’ most charming small hotels. ... more   less
