A friend recommended Le Vieux Manoir; he said it was happenstance for him to find this little piece of heaven. We heeded his words and made a reservation to stay in October of 2016. When there we found out they were closing for the season the very next week. We felt very lucky. First off Gloria and Bob are phenomenal...

Best a bed and breakfast that I have experienced. Lovely hosts that did everything to make our stay perfect! Located in the centre of Amboise, which makes it easy for tourism. In need of recommendation for restaurants? Just ask Gloria, the lovely hostess. Will definitely return for another stay!

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights the first week of October in the Josephine room. We traveled with 4 other friends and we all had the same great experience. It was wonderful. First, our hosts, Gloria and Bob are so interesting and inviting. They made us feel welcome from the very first with wine in the garden. The...

What a delightful way to begin our vacation in France. Our three-night stay with Gloria and Bob was outstanding. Lovely room, bountiful breakfasts and all in a terrific setting. Gloria is a fountain of knowledge and helpful recommendations. The guests were very friendly and the grounds were very restful after a long journey. We couldn't have asked for more-except to...

Amboise gems are hosts Gloria and Bob! Our stay with them was a true joy. We stayed in the large and comfortable Josephine room with a wonderful bath tub! We looked out over the front gardens. The secured parking was a welcome feature. Breakfast was filling and a great start to the day each morning. Thanks Bob! Gloria loves to...

We stayed in Collette, a beautiful room decorated in burgundy and cream toile. The breakfasts are a huge assortment of pastries, breads (some unique to the region), and best of all (I thought) French pressed coffee. Breakfast is served in the beautiful conservatory. Both Bob and Gloria are gracious hosts, and frankly, if there is something Gloria doesn't know about...

We drove into their lovely gated Manoir, with beautiful gardens around the house. My daughter stayed in Madame Sevigne rooms (nice view of the garden), and we stayed in the George Sand room also with a view. The artwork throughout the house was tasteful, and pleasing. Everywhere you looked, was grace and artistry. The rooms were beautifully decorated, and quite...

Le Vieux Manoir is a beautiful B&B. Gloria & Bob are wonderful hosts. Not only are they welcoming, they helped us find wonderful local restaurants in walking distance and the perfect chateaux tour. We learned so much about the area and its history from talking with Gloria and the other guests. Highly recommended!
