Such a serene setting just off a busy street. Once you pass the entry gate and are on site you leave the city sounds on the other side of the wall and it's like you're in a park. A very quiet setting with bird chirping and the smell of lilac. A nice size room and bathroom on the top floor...

Chipped paint. Wifi in some rooms does not work...in others barely. If that is meaningless then it is not a problem. If you want to confront someone in management beyond the front desk...magically...they are not reachable. Do not prepay under any circumstance!!! Also, advertisements are of rooms that have some sophisticated fabrics but presto...it is not the room you get.

I enjoyed our four nights at Le Choiseul. It is located close to town – a five minute walk – and is located directly opposite the Loire river. I was a little disappointed not to be upgraded given my SLH status because it was clear the hotel was anything but full – it is after all the low season. That...

We based ourselves in the Le Choiseul hotel for 4 nights whilst doing a 2 Day tour of various castles in the area. This was a great choice as the rooms were generous in size, beautifully appointed and to top it off, we were in courtyard setting. Other guests that were staying in the main hotel building said they were...

This hotel is lovely, charming, and excellent in every way. The decor was very pretty, the rooms were spacious and lovely, the grounds were gorgeous, the food was outstanding, the staff was wonderful, and the town was so very pretty.

Room was cute but had bugs and nobody seemed to care. We were given a can of bug spray and told to spray. They suggested "bombing the room" without an alternative room to sleep in. We looked on trip advisor and they had numerous rooms available. I'm assuming they were all bug occupied as well? Service was talkative but THEY...

We stayed in Room 24 that offered a very large room and courtyard. Spectacular decor in French. Staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Dinner in their restaurant was elegant and excellent food/wine. The breakfast was very good. Location along the Loire River and proximity to village of Amoise was perfect. Loved our short stay at LeChoiseul and Amboise.

The room was large, the bed was comfortable and the facilities were fine. The bath needed some grab rails so that one could guard against slipping. Gardens were beautiful. Parking was fine and the position of the hotel was good - walking distance from the old town and the castle, on the south bank of the river. The food in...

Excellent stay at an ideally located boutique Hotel, former residence of Etienne François Duc de Choiseul . Hotel is a very short walk from the Amboise downtown and chateau. Staff is kind, attentive, and helpful. Restaurant is one of the best in the Valley, although not star rated, I believe that it will attain a Michelin Star rating. There is...

The hotel is situated very close to the centre of Amboise- 5 minutes walk. Not only is it beautifully appointed with pretty and cosy rooms, the service is also outstanding. Jean-Baptiste on the front desk is extremely professional and friendly, with a wealth of knowledge about the area and steer even a novice traveller to all the best sights and...
