We stayed for 3 nights (Friday-Sunday) at Le Gourmandin in Beaune. We selected this accommodation because of its price, the photos (which showed a lovely room) and the location, right in town. For 120 euros per night, we were pleasantly surprised at the furniture and fixtures in the room. It was clear that the room had been remodeled with quality...

We're fans of the restaurant downstairs so we decided to try the accommodation. You need to appreciate that there is often no one around if you want service or assistance with luggage or anything else. You are pretty much on your own with a key to the front door and the room (which is fine so long as you expect...

We went for the restaurant but the rooms were by far better than we expected from the pictures on their website. Large, cool, great beds and bathrooms attractive. The parking on the other hand was a nightmare. There are some spaces outside the hotel, but they're only available at various times, and the day we arrived there was some sort...

A cool place but somewhat tricky. Le Gourmandin was meant to be our "flash" 2 nights in Beaune but we couldn't get in until 4 hours after arriving, our reservation was not in the book and the price went up. (Sometimes that long distance planning goes haywire !) But once over all this stuffing around the room was really cool,...
