Hotel Cartier is located in the middle of the Ville Clos so ideal for exploring the old town. Staff were friendly and check in / out was made easy by online form filling. Our room was comfortable with an outside balcony, adequate seating and tea making facilities. The buffet breakfast in the basement was excellent value – all one could want, cold and hot. Not cheap, but not bad value given that we were in the centre of a tourist town in the height of the tourist season. Recommended.

The location of Hotel Cartier in St. Malo is excellent. Close enough to walk from the ferry terminal and in the middle of all the shops/restaurants. Although the rooms are small, the bed was so comfortable - lovely pillows. Clean and tidy. Great power shower. Our room had a small balcony. We had the buffet breakfast - includes tea/coffee; juices; cereal; bread; cheeses; meats, yogurts, croissants etc. We were able to leave our luggage after check out. The staff are lovely. So, if you're looking for a central hotel for your trip to St. Malo, we'd recommend this one. There was some noise from the street, but it was a national holiday, so everyone was out enjoying themselves. It didn't bother my husband too much as he was snoring his head off!

The hotel is perfectly located within the walls of the old city. It is clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee in the rooms and friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was better than I expected, with some hot food, as well as a large selection of continental items. Well worth a visit.

Well placed in the old town and a lot of restaurants nearby.

Nearby public parking.

Breakfast was fine.

The room was very small and the windows were not double glazed. As a consequence you could easily hear people late and night and early in the morning on the street outside

Loved staying here. Very small and minimalist but we didn’t expect more, given the location. Easy walk from nearest parking, and all the stunning sites of St Malo. Lovely friendly attentive staff. Surprisingly quiet when windows closed (had aircon).
Would happily stay again.

Lovely location. Comfy and clean bed but floors were filthy and shower head broken so could not move to height but pressure strong and water hot.

I found out how dirty floors were when kneeling to plug in bedside light and get things out of my suitcase so wiped clean with wet bath mat - you can see the result!

Beds were clean and comfy though.

A sunny November mini break at a hotel we have so often just walked past. It is a gem of a hotel - perfectly located and beautifully presented.

The room was immaculate - a little smaller than we had anticipated but still a good size.
Comfy bed, TV, Sizeable wardrobe and fresh clean decoration.
Bathroom had pocket doors (a great space saver) and was cleverly laid out with a great walk in shower - Clean and fresh

Lifts were clean and never needed to wait for long for one - we were on the forth floor.

Breakfast was in the underground room - small but clever use of mirrors gave an increased perception of size and light.

Staff were most polite - excellent english and only to happy to assist with any requests, from irons to blankets and recommendations.

Well recommend to anyone staying in the area,

I had seen the Cartier Hotel numerous times when visiting St Malo so decided to give it a go this time and stay there.

It is located in the middle of the walls of St Malo in a quiet area which was perfect for us. We were in a room on the fourth floor which we went to via the lift , there is also stairs to get to the different floors.

The room was quite small and the shower room was as well but perfectly adequate for our one nights stay. It was all very modern and the bed was really comfortable and the sheets and bedding were really nice and crisp.

We had a little balcony looking out on to the street below and it was lovely looking over the roof tops first thing in the morning .

Our rate included breakfast which was downstairs below street level , there were croissants , bread , pastries , cereal , fresh fruit salad and yogurts and orang juice , water very nice coffee , cheeses , hams and salami and excellent choice of continental breakfast.

I would definitely stay at the Cartier Hotel again when visiting St Malo

We parked our car in one of the public car parks outside the walls , it was really easy we just took the ticket from the machine and left it in the car and when we went back the next morning we put the ticket back in to the machine and it told us that it was 2 euros 30 cents so it must be free parking after a certain time as we parked the car after 1800 and went back to it at around 0915 the following morning so at least it didn’t cost a fortune.

Thank you to the various staff members for making our stay so nice

Our favourite hotel when visiting St Malo - central location, sufficient facilities, competitively priced and friendly staff. Best feature for me is the location - it’s right in the thick of the action which is great.

There's no parking available at the hotel or inside the walls. You will need to park outside the walls and this will cost you quite a bit!!
