Very attractive and easy to find old manor house. Extremely friendly reception . Excellent English skills and quick and efficient check in. Room very comfortable with large double bed and coffee and tea facilities. Spotless and large ensuite wet room. Breakfast was typical of French buffet style . Fresh croissants and baguette, large selection of cold meats and cheeses including fresh fruits and yogurts. We didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening, so cannot comment. Free parking in the grounds. I would recommend to all. Our stay was the night before sailing and gave us time to look over the old town of St Malo. We will be back.

My wife is in a quandry. On the one hand, she was so impressed with la Grassinais that she is insisting that I write this review. On the other, she does not want the hotel to become so popular that we can't get in! But fairness has won the day. This quiet, clean, comfortable, great value, new-style Logis is now our go-to hotel in St Malo. As Channel Islanders and Francophiles, we find ourselves often needing an overnight stop at short notice. No problem here. Plus free, off street parking.

The breakfast was stunning and the welcome was, quite simply, the warmest we have ever had from a Frenchman in 50 years of travelling in France. It's a 10!

Perfectly suited our family needs. It is pricey as is everything in St Malo, chosen as best family value. Nice adjacent family rooms option. Best suited to brief stay or as a base. We didn’t take breakfast. Nice boulengerie nearby
It is a hotel in a commercial/industrial park area. 10min walk to a bus which can take you all the way to i tea-muros etc. Close to aquarium.

Hotel located in a commercial area but very nice surprise when you pass the gate, very nice hotel with private parking for customers, warm and friendly welcome. Small hotel with 29 rooms.
Pleasant and comfortable room, large 180cm bed, extremely comfortable bedding, small bathroom with Italian shower.
The breakfast meets our expectations with lots of choice, the bread is super good as are the pancakes.
The boss is extremely friendly with his customers with a little word for each one.
We recommend this hotel which is located not far from St Malo intra muros.

A comfortable, clean, quiet and friendly hotel with free parking. Short walk to catch the bus (no 1) into St Malo; a boulangerie almost next door and within minutes of several eateries including the wonderful Pandawok restaurant. Enjoyed our 3 nights here and would definitely stay again.

A beautiful granite hotel that a commercial area seems to have surrounded, but the hotel has (very well) resisted!
The hotel is beautiful, quiet , very clean and comfortable. The bedding is very good, the bathroom is modern but a little narrow.
"Classic" breakfast of a 3*
The welcome is very nice.

We stayed here on a Saturday night early in September as a stop over for our ferry the next day. We stayed here 2 years ago on a similar journey and were then quite impressed. On arrival we were told that the restaurant was fully booked, the receptionist seemed quite surprised that we had not thought to book on reserving our room but when travelling a long way it is not always possible to anticipate a suitable time to eat so we had to look elsewhere for our evening meal. She was also keen to take payment straight away despite the booking being secured on a credit card. On arriving back from our evening meal we were unable to park in the hotels tiny carpark and therefore we had to park on the industrial area outside.
Our room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. The shower room was extremely small but again clean with a good shower. We did think that 1 thin bath towel between 2 of us was very mean.
Last time we had enjoyed our breakfast but on this visit we felt that we did not get good value for our 9 euros each. There was no fresh fruit salad which most hotels offer, just a very pretty display of whole fruits. The yoghurt was poor quality and my husband and I had to fight over the 1 croissant that was left. Overall we felt it was all very disappointing. I don't think we will stay here again but if you just need a bed for the night it is clean and adequate.

My wife and 2 children stayed here overnight prior to boarding the ferry back to Portsmouth.

We stayed in a family room, which was clean and adequate, but overlooked the main road into St Malo, which is the equivalant of the M6. The breakfast was a typical French one and was lovely.

St Malo itself, we were gobsmacked by, enjoying a lovely evening walk and meal in a restaurant within the historic walled citadel. We also drove to visit Mont St Michel (about 3/4 hour away), which again, we were gobsmacked by, so much so, that my wife and i have decided that we will return asap, without the children for a long weekend, but staying in a hotel within the citadel.

This hotel was a wonderful find in amongst what we would call a trading estate. Don’t be put off by this. This stone building is typically French. The Host/Hostess were very friendly, welcoming and professional. The room was ideal, clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. I cannot praise this hotel enough. We will go back.
