Sea view room with “wow” effect, very nice decor, very clean, perfectly soundproofed.
The staff is really very welcoming, attentive, smiling and very accommodating. Thank you for your attention.
The + + +: Breakfast is taken facing the sea, very generous, with local specialties among others. It's hard to leave the table, especially with this view...
The -: nothing to say, I will go back without hesitation.
Please note: the hotel offers tea time facing the sea, with delicious homemade pastries and an incredibly extensive tea and coffee menu. I highly recommend !
The road facing room was acceptable although small and the double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. (Still pretty comfortable)
Room amenities, non existent apart from a couple of sachets of shampoo and a carafe of drinking water.
Breakfast pretty good except for €15 I would expect a fresh croissant as standard rather than the lacklustre frozen mini croissants.
Room walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from baths being filled to squeaky beds.
Off street parking is advertised for €15 per night and the out of season free street parking is not advertised.
All in all it is over priced for what it is and we most certainly wouldn't stay here again.
When we passed it on a rainy day , we decided to get in, I asked if I could sit on the window and that was ok. When we ordered only thee in a “salon de thé”, we were told to go sit in the back. I asked the manager if that was really necessary since we were the only clients, but we had to move to the back, and we would stay the only clients for the next hour.
So maybe it’s a French habit , but for me they are very unprofessional.
We asked for a credit / refund but the desk clerk at checkout stated he did not have the authority. He was very nice and noted our issues and said to email the property. Which we did, and then the response stated that neither room had an issue. We are well traveled (several times per year in Europe) and know how to assess where we are. The rooms were poor quality especially for what we paid. If you go to this hotel, stay away from these rooms (perhaps the rooms with water views are nice). If we had paid half of what we did, it may have been expected. But the price was very high for a very low quality room. We asked for a refund of at least one of the rooms, but received nothing. Would not stay here again and would not at all recommend it.
The downside, it takes at least one, it is always missing a staircase ramp at the entrance of the Pension street side for people who have difficulty going up and down the 5 steps, it would be a great plus in addition to the elevator very useful to access the room upstairs.
"If you need wifi then avoid this place. Room walls paper thin so any romantic stays would be quite obvious. Staff very attentative and try hard with poor facilities. "Read full review
