Detailed Reviews
There is no better place to stay in St Malo. We are regular visitor to the place and believe me you wast your time looking for a better place.
He’le’ne and Emmanuel who run the hotel, could not be more helpful.
Their restaurants recommendation in St Malo are always spot on, they seem to be up to date on the best places to have a good meal.
The rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated, bedding comfortable, all rooms are named, and after many years of visiting the hotel, I recommend York, it is on the 2nd floor with view of the garden, it might be a problem if you have mobility issues as there is no lift.
The breakfast is an experience not to be missed, He’le’ne, who usually makes and serve the breakfast makes absolutely sure that you have an enjoyable breakfast prepared to perfection.

This hotel has a charm that I have never experienced before. Although our room was very small, it was extremely clean and well kept. Every morning our hosts produced a fantastic breakfast, where we enjoyed fresh apricots from there own tree. Nothing was to much trouble, they even dropped us into St Malo when we were unable to get a taxi.
If you visit St Malo.. or Brittany for that matter, this is the place to stay.

Has a wonderful stay. Firstly the staff at this hotel are amazing. Prior to staying they were so helpful with ensuring we had the relevant information to meet visa requirements for my partner. Whilst we stayed at the hotel, we were welcomed so warmly on arrival and every morning. No request was too much and they genuinely were so kind and accommodating to us and all the other guests from what we observed.
The breakfast is amazing and well worth booking. We were treated to a large coffee, hot chocolate or tea, along with a glass of fresh orange juice. We also had baguettes, croissants, pain au chocolate, chocolate bread, cheese and meats, Breton flan, crepes and a selection of spreads, jams and curds. The food felt so fresh and tasty, honestly got hungry thinking about it whilst writing the review!
The room was well decorated and large enough to fit 4 bags in it. It was kept spotlessly. The bathroom was spacious and large enough that we could both get ready at the same time.
The hotel is around 20/40 minute walk from the old town of St Malo or a 5/10 minute drive. The driveway is large enough to fit 6 cars in, but there are spaces outside the hotel. The street feels safe and I never once had any concerns about leaving my car there.
Thank you again to Helene and the rest of the team. You made our stay very enjoyable and if/when we return to St Malo, we know where we would be staying.

We spontaneously spent a night in this unique and great accommodation. For the room selection the host showed us three categories, each room was unique and decorated with great attention to detail. The rooms were very nice, very clean and simple to feel good about. We enjoyed the night here very much and slept very well. Very positive we were surprised by the loving and selected breakfast. Local products from Saint Malo and the surrounding area were served here. The host has gone to great lengths here, was always very friendly and always helpful. We will definitely come back. Thank you for this great hospitality.

Located in a quiet street, this beautiful hotel is operated by wonderful and kind owners, very attentive to their guests. The rooms and the hotel are impeccable, and spotless. On top of this, we were spoiled by a delicious breakfast every morning. While in a quiet area, the hotel is at walk distance from restaurants and main attraction. They also include parking. And not to forget the manicured lawn with superb roses where you can spend some pleasant relaxing time. A wonderful stay.

Just checked into this adorable little hotel before heading back home on the ferry. Loving the cosy vibes here! It's a quaint little hotel, perfectly styled and finished to a high standard.
The rooms were so nice! So light and airy, with the most amazing amenities like tea, coffee, and bottled water. 😍✨ and when we arrived in our cosy room we found on the bed - two adorable local sweets! 🍬🍬 And to top it off, there is a welcome card with the Wifi password. Could not wait to indulge in those treats while staying connected! 🌐💕
The breakfast was sooo French France! 🇫🇷😍 I indulged in some deliciously fresh breads, mouthwatering pastries, and the juiciest orange juice ever! 🥐🍊
We had the most amazing experience at this place, with the most polite host ever! 😍🙌 Who went above and beyond.
The hotel is located around 25min walk from the old town! The sea front walk is seriously the most amazing stroll ever! It is like walking in a dreamy paradise. Sooo lovely! 😍🌊 Such an easy-peasy trail with barely any hills! 🌿✨ So perfect for a late spring walk.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Saint Servan ran by a lovely couple, who couldn't be more helpful. The room was small but comfortable & clean. The breakfast was very good. The location is excellent, only 5 mins walk from the centre, but on a quiet street, which makes it perfect. We would definitely recommend it!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, room was stunning, we were only meant to be there one night but the whole experience of being welcomed in and the beautiful room made us decide to stay another night!. Breakfast is a must, delicious breads and pastries, refillable coffee and orange juice that's squeezed fresh that morning ,han and cheese and little pots of jams and honeys. Best place to stay in in this area! The owners were so kind and friendly too, a perfect stay in a perfect hotel 😀

When I travel I always like to stay in unique places away from the crowd.
Ascott is a real gem in Saint Malo. A small château refurbished as a hotel. Helene and Emmanuel are the owners and are just simply adorable. A warm welcome. Good information on what to do in the area, and restaurants. The room was small but spotless and comfortable. I was fortunate to have a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Parking on the property. A great breakfast with homemade jams and cakes. There is a back garden that is quiet and serene. If you're in the area and don't need to stay in the crazy center city, I highly recommend this special place.
