Lovely location with restricted views across the bay to the old city .pitches very uneven or sloping so chocks and levelers are a must .thought the amenities were not too bad ,but price per night a tad too much for what you get .reception personnel were polite and helpful ,so despite its faults I would stay there again because of... Stayed here as it is the nearest campsite to the Town of Saint Malo, especially for walking to. The campsite is set on an hill we were give a pitch number and found that maybe a barbie tent might of fitted on it our small tent would not especially as there were people either side, there was plenty of pitches... I stayed here in my ancient campingcar whilst volunteering at the Etonnants Voyageurs festival. Wonderful situation - beautiful walk down to festival each day, easy reach of good restaurants and facilities of St Servan. Cité d'alet great place to stay. The campsite facilities were very basic, and very expensive. I would choose not to return because of facilities, but because... More

Bit basic, both pitches and facilities, but no real complaints. A 20 minute walk to St Malo old town, which is great, and a 5 minute drive to the ferry port. For a night stop before the morning ferry it's just the job. Some people had set up for longer. Not sure I would.

Positive: - Bakery service around 9 am - Beautiful panoramic view - Police patrols / Safety guard patrols in the evening (closing gates etc) - Located very closely to the old city center and haven - At the Cité d'Aleth there are a lot of restaurants and pubs - Toilet paper is being provided at the restrooms (although it might... Solo traveller has to pay the same as two people (although if you can team up with another solo traveller you can pay as a couple , with two tents - but I was only told that on leaving). No choice of where to camp. The site is basically the side of a hill so if you are in a... More

Arrived at this site mid morning after driving up from Nantes for the last 2 days of our holiday in St a Malo. If only people were honest when we enquires about staying at this site, then we would not have had the problem, the problem being they had decided to close early this season, we were supposed to be... We only booked this site because we had to be in St Malo for a particular reason , we won't go back . We reserved a pitch for our Motorhome in advance for early July. The site was rammed and is likely rammed for the whole of the summer. You would think that they would have manned the reception desk... More

we have cite d'alet now for many years and would recommend it hugely - the only downside is that there are lots of sloping surfaces so camping in a tent isn't always easy. The shower blocks and loos are clean and plentifful and well- maintained, lots of washing up facilities and the only thing missing is a drying room/launderette -... More

Ideal site for getting an early doors st Marlo ferry only 1.5 miles from terminal .but actually overlooks harbour . Kids loved the fact they could run up the hill into the historical ruins and watch the ferry come in. Clean and tidy showers and loos for what was for us a packed out site. Office personnel very helpful and... More
