Although we went while it was cold, Saint Malo was beautiful and Hotel Les Charmettes has a wonderful view of said beauty! Within walking distance of the walled city (along the beach too!). My friends and I had a wonderful time. Our room was great and surprisingly roomy for accommodating four people. They were able to speak to us in English when needed. They also allowed us to check in early as our train arrived in the morning. Great place, highly recommend. Only downside was that the breakfast was very expensive and not worth the price.

Indeed, our hotel is situated just in front of the beach and at walking distance of the walled city. However, we are sorry that you found the breakfast very expensive and not worth the price. This was our first trip after lockdown and really could not have been better. The bedroom was quite small but comfortable but what really makes 'Les Charmettes' exceptional is the sheer helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. The buffet breakfast is also excellent with a range of fruits, cereals, toast and eggs and a number of juices. At the back of the hotel is a restaurant that is understandably extremely busy as the food is great, as are the staff. The views of the sea and the beach are lovely and the stroll along the promenade to the old town is a delight. We can't wait to go back.

the hotel is in a nice location, but you can do better, the bathroom with carpet is not the best for hygiene because it cannot be washed well and I found a lot of hair on the sides of the walls, we had the room in the villa with no lift and no one helped us carry our suitcases and I think this can be a service offered. also breakfast serves thermos for coffee and hot water, when I think it is better to make a cup of espresso, the butter is not single-dose and everyone uses the knife to take the portion of butter and this I find unhygienic and practical. It would also be better if they accept all cards including American Express

Dear bubu77bu, We thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are very sad to read that your stay did not meet your expectations. We always do our best to ensure that you have an excellent stay and it is a real disappointment to read that you were not completely satisfied. The bathroom floor on your room is woven vinyl floor. This floor cleans like tiles with a mop. We are sincerely sorry that you did not find your bathroom clean. We attach great importance to cleanliness and hygiene and we usually have only excellent feedback on this subject. We clean the rooms with a dry steam cleaner which allows everything to be cleaned and disinfected down to the smallest detail. Our hotel is situated in 2 listed villas from the 19th century and we have 2 floors per villa and no elevator. We do not have a porter as we are a 3 star hotel but we are happy to help our guests with their luggage if they need it. Regarding the breakfast, as it is a buffet there are thermos with coffee and hot water but we offer on request expresso or capuccino. For the butter, we have chosen to no longer offer individual portions for an environmental choice and we propose 2 local butter : unsalted butter and semi-salted butter. Moreover, we have well noted your comments regarding American Express. We inform you that we accept all the credits card except this card. This is the first time that we have this request because obviously if this request were recurrent on the part of our customers, we would consider accepting it. Well located with great front seaside view from front room, restaurant is really nice and staff very helpful. They have a cute little shop with products you can buy to enjoy the atmosphere home it's really good value for money. We have stayed twice and would definitely go back again! takes 30 minutes to walk to the walled city along the seafront and is perfect.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while visiting Saint-Malo and Dinard. It is a truly cute and cozy seaside property. The staff is very welcoming and responded to all of our questions/requests promptly. Parking is available (upon reservation) for a reasonable fee. The onsite-restaurant was very good. We will definitely stay at this at this property again when we return to Saint-Malo.

Les Charmettes is a cute little hotel right at the beach. The staff made us feel very welcome on arrival, the main building has a beautiful view to the beach and the breakfast room faces the beach as well. An amazing view and feel to the place.
We had a room at the second building (not with a sea view). The room had a beautiful decor, it was very small but clean and nice. The breakfast (with a view) was nice.
The hotel is located at the beach, roughly 20-25 min walk from the Saint Malo old town. There are limited restaurant options in the area, but there are still sever
The hotel has a busy restaurant and I have to agree with some other reviews that they seemed short-handed. But the food was good and of food value.
All in all, a very nice experience.

My husband and I stayed here for a night after visiting Mont Saint Michel, and from the moment we checked in, we felt so welcome. The staff are all so warm and inviting, and they eagerly showed us around while wanting us to have the best experience possible. The hotel is about a 25 minute walk from the walled city, but it is an easy walk on a paved sidewalk by the ocean. We spent most of our time out of the room, so the size of the room didn't matter.

It really does live up to its name the Charmettes. The location right ion the dramatic beach, the pretty building and the decor are all charming. I would definitely stay there again. Although slightly small my room was a delight and clever use of ensuite and separate closet made it feel like a mini suite. Excellent shower adn spotlessly clean. Best of all the extraordinarily comfortable bed and quality bed linens.
Parking extremely welcome in busy parking area but quite tricky to manoeuvre as very tight.

We had a good stay, the view from window is amazing, the restaurant is nice and cooking delicious. the only thing is the size of bathroom. No tall men (or women) allowed on the toilets max 70 cm between it and the wall. Anyway I would recommand the family size hotel and very kind people. Will come back for sure.

It is two 19 th century villa. The first one has 0 steps to go to reception and 15 steps to go on the first floor. The second one has 2 rooms located on the ground floor but you will need to walk 1 mn and climb 15 steps to go to reception desk and restaurant.. Sunny regards, Luc
Hello, our hotel is composed by 2 villas separated by a car park, the building dated 19th century and are front of the see direct on the beach. There are stairs to reach the breakfast room . We have 16 rooms in two differents buildings with 2 floors, there is a basement floor in the building at the back. Please ask for ground floor at the back or 1st Floor at the front. You will need to climb 10 steps at the most.
