We needed somewhere as a base for visiting Mony St Michel, Dinan, St Malo and the pink granite coast and decided on Combourg, a very pretty village with a chateau reflected in a lake. We stayed for five days and were very pleased wit the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant had a good variety of menus at...

We arrived. The housekeeper was covering the front desk. Her English was very limited. Our room was on second floor. It was really small. I could not leave my suitcase open while moving about the room. It was clean and otherwize comfortable. The breakfast was continental. Selection was very limited. Protected parking was available for a fee, but they were...

Very well located hotel inside the old wall. Very modern and comfortable. The man on reception was very helpful with suggestions for a restaurant for dinner and we were not disappointed. Parking is tight but OK if you book in advance. Only negative comment is there is an opaque glass door to separate the bedroom from the bathroom. A bit...

Pros: very comfy bed, good position in town, clean sheets, secure parking Cons: very basic with absolutely no frills, poor decor, terrible decoration (peeling paint and poor plumbing), dont expect a lie in in room 211 which overlooks the main through road - traffic builds up from 6 a.m. We stayed in a big room, but with really inadequate facilities....

Arrived under a clear blue sky after several years away from the town on a motorcycle trip with a friend – the hotel didn’t disappoint. The hotel was in a great location across from the castle and adjacent to the edge of the old town. The staff were super friendly and helpful, advising of places to see and providing a...

We stayed one night at the Hotel du Chateau. Our first floor room was small (as I expect in most European hotels, but well appointed and very clean. We chose a room with a patio which made the room feel larger. We enjoyed our nightcap on the patio. Parking at the hotel is VERY limited and was full when we...

Situated within a stones throw Of the Castle (Chateau) Keep & close to the walls & everything that you have come here to see. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly & attentive. Only stayed here one night on our way back to St Malo & the ferry home. We booked a downstairs room with a very small...

Stayed here for 3 nights (great location close to the historic centre & ramparts). Very small room & bathroom, but comfortable & quiet (maybe worth asking for a room with terrace, as we did). Very pleasant staff (who spoke good English), who also gave good recommendations for restaurants. Worth booking parking (they have a very small, secure parking area at...

I just spent one night and everything was right, clean, tidy and very kind service. But the best part is the location, close to the center but in a quiet area next to the castle. I recommend this hotel 100%

We booked a short stay at this Hotel with Brittany Ferries. We found the Hotel to be clean, well positioned with very helpful staff. Breakfast was plentiful with choice. Staff were extremely helpful with suggestions of where to eat in the evening. We were also very pleased to find that they were prepared to help with contacting Brittany Ferries when...
