I have arrived at this hotel on a biz trip Oct. 9 in the evening. Temperature outside: 12C, to drop to 8C overnight. No heat in the room. The night watchman informed me that "the owner did not turn on the heat, and is unreachable". I requested that he contact the owner to resolve this. No resolition until 9am, when...

I was very impressed that, when requesting a room for a Friday evening in May 2017, a representative named Morgane kindly informed me that there would likely be a noisy concert on the premises that evening. Many if not most hotels would simply confirm the room, saying nothing. Very classy, indeed. Merci beaucoup, Morgane!

Located near the centre of town, the staff are welcoming and the hotel is clean. The rooms are small but you get all the facilities you need. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice and very nice coffee. The bar is welcoming.

I've stayed at this hotel twice and it gets better every time. It is ideally situated in the hub of the city with easy access to the train and bus stations as well as being a short walk to the tram network. The rooms are clean and airy with modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds, the bed linen is of...

I returned to Brest after 18 years and decided to stay in Hotel Vauban due to its location in the city center. It's just walking distance to Place de Liberte, train station and bus or trem stop. I got a room in 5th floor facing the street so not too noisy despite of a concert in Saturday night. The staffs...

We enjoyed our Stay at the Hotel. Nice big room. Clean and with Style. The Folks at the Hotel really friendly. We stayed in the 4th floor. There is a lift and big staircase. There is one issue concerning Music. Check if there is a concert going on, as you ll hear the beat up into the 4th floor.

We found this place by chance as we staying in an hotel round the corner. The weather was rubbish since only walked a short distance. This place had a great choice of Abbey brewed beers and we enjoyed them on the first night, having eaten previously. We then returned the following night and partook of their menu. Their goats cheese...

If you stay in the Hotel Vauban for the purpose of attending the concerts held downstairs, or if the idea of joining in the festivities appeals, then this will be great for you. If however you want to sleep without a techno beat resounding till 4 in the morning, this may not be the place for you. There are ready-made...

This is a classic hotel, famous for the concerts being played there. You can therefore enjoy a drink at the bar, watch a gig downstairs, and/or go to your quiet room upstairs in the same building! The room is clean, comfy. The hotel is stylish. I had a great time. Good experience.

After several stays for business, the Hôtel Vauban, which is right next to the train station and has easy on-street parking, has proved to be a good option. The clean and spacious rooms which offer free Internet have been recently fully renovated and the general impression of the hotel is positive. It's a pity that breakfast is only average and...

“I generally stay in a twin bedded room with my friend which has enough room for us both. The front of the building faces the Main Street but is not overly noisy. The rooms to the side of the hotel are probably a little quieter.”
