A luxurious, refined and rare setting in a bubble of calm and pleasure. The works of art and design in the corridors and rooms make it a little museum! The decor is polished and thoughtful and enhances moments of dining and relaxation. The rooms are calming. We relax in the heated and original swimming pool in the sun or under the sails. Time slows down, we are surprised at every turn! The nights are soft and calm. We wake up for lunch on the grandiose terrace. The staff is welcoming, smiling and professional, which is rare! The smallness of this 5-star hotel which remains independent makes the charm and atmosphere authentic. Away from the hubbub of the center, in one of the city's historic residential areas, 5 minutes from the beach. A nugget!

Wow, what an incredible hotel. The hotel is very beautiful and the staff are wonderful too, they worked their socks off to make our stay so amazing. The location is a little out of town but for that you get peace and quiet.
We’re go back there in a heartbeat. Loved it

We enjoyed a beautifully peaceful weekend in the hotel. Everything was perfect from the room, hotel and grounds. The pool area is great and enjoyed a wonderful bottle of champagne on the terrace. We did very little as didn't want to leave the hotel. A truly memorable stay.

We stayed 3 days with our girls. Being quite used to luxury hotel we were quite disappointed by the Beaumanoir. While it is nice and in a beautiful setting, it is clearly overpriced. Also the personnel is clearly not up to the standards that the hotel puts forward. For such a price it is not very classy to bill a less than average breakfast on top (we are French and know what good bread is). Also, we were charged 3 Euros per cookie for our daughter who had been sick for two days and could not eat anything else. When sitting at the pool it would have been nice not to stare at dirty tissues lying on the ground all afternoon Again all of this would have been acceptable if not for the rates and the way the hotel is advertised.

My partner and me spent a few nights at Le Beaumanoir in August. We enjoyed the very stylish and extremely elegant atmosphere. The staff was very competent and friendly. In appreciation of values with other hotels we decided for Le Beaumanoir because of its supposed calm (just 8 rooms/suites) and luxury ambience. The quality and style of the rooms is also high and elegant, although for a five Star hotel we would have appreciated air conditioning which was not there. The style and quality of the a la carte (Champagne) breakfast is also great and it is presented beautifully. However after 4 nights we would have appreciated some variety there as it is served each day exactly the same way.
The Snack selection and pool service are also good. Absolutely great is the Champagne selection. The dinner however does not meet five star requirements, e.g. several microwave-heated dishes were served (outside hot, inside cold) and there is no restaurant style quality or chief available. However, the owner has some good recommendations to eat outside (if you want) The garden and pool area look beautiful and are well kept. However, the deckchair arrangement at the pool is quite fix and does not allow much privacy (which would be possible with some re-arrangements in the garden). The missing shower is not optimal as well. It should be noted that the hotel is child-friendly, what is basically a good thing. But it needs to be known, and as we chose the Small Luxury Boutique Hotel mainly to relax in silence and privacy, we were not amused when two families with in total five children arrived who suddenly transformed the small pool area into an adventure camp.
In total a nice stay, also a recommendation, with the above mentioned upside potential to fully justify 5 Star Luxury classification.

In our opinion, this is a luxury B&B, not a "hotel" as most 5* travelers would expect!
Rooms have no air-con. Location isn't very convenient for the sea front and we heard planes fly overhead.
Very average for the money, but I understand with only a few rooms they can't afford the usual 5* service.

We recently stayed for three nights at the Beaumanoir Hotel and really enjoyed our stay. I booked this hotel at the last minute based on its excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The rooms are extremely comfortable and we enjoyed a lovely rest, early to bed and late to rise! We did not have breakfast at all as we do not normally eat much in the morning and the main purpose of our short break was to rest. The owner of the hotel picked us up from the airport in his Rolls Royce and dropped us at the train station for our onward trip and both this gentleman and the only two butlers were most helpful and charming. I would recommend this hotel for couples.

I just booked this hotel and was really excited for it - it looks beautiful. I booked it on Hotels.com and immediately after I booked it, I realized I booked it for the wrong weekend. My booking was a non refundable booking - but with really great places - if you make a mistake and are going to rebook, they understand. Le Beaumanoir was unwilling to cancel the reservation. They were willing to let me cancel if I booked a more expensive room but would not consider having me buy the more expensive room for half the nights and a cheaper room for the other half - to have the price even out. This was discussed over more than 3 phone calls and one escalation to a manager. This is just unacceptable for a property of their type of class of service. Horrible customer service when I'm trying to pay them to stay there. I even discussed with them that I felt it important to share my story and painted them this picture and they were unwilling to accommodate. I'm staying near the beach now and I have to eat the cost of my stay with them. I bet they will even rebook it and make double money for those dates.

Dear Mister JARED, Further to your message, we would like to remind you the therms and facts : - You have booked your stay via HOTEL.COM (a tour operator on internet) at a prepaid rate with conditions and cancellations booking very stricts: not modificable, not refundable, not cancellable. We have been contacted by HOTEL.COM concerning your reservation because you wanted an exemption to modify your booking dates. We have exceptionnaly allowed you to modify the dates of your booking (in the same room category booked on your reservation) - At the second phone call from HOTEL.COM service, the new dates requested were not availables in the same room category (we are in the high season) - At the third phone call from HOTEL.COM, we suggest you to change of room category in the case to be able to accomodate you for the requested period. The new period requested was during the Bastille DAY's week and the only room available was a luxury appartment. You didn't want to pay the supplement for this appartment ! We cannot agree to upgrade you graciously during this busy period (it is not our mistake, it is you who wanted to modify your dates) - You say that we are snobby, but you didn't try to contact us directly!! (we didn't speak directly with you all the message have been done via HOTEL.COM service) - You say that we are inflexible, but we have accepted to make 2 modifications for your booking to help you which We remind you that your reservation have been made via a tour operator (and not directly with us) and was not modificable. - You say that we are rude but you are using a way to communicate to blame in Public. We are very sorry not have been able to give you satisfaction, as in our establishment, we are accustomed to welcome a polished clientele.

If you are looking for a little rest and relaxation then Beaumanoir is for you. Set in the leafy suburbs of Biarritz, the manor is beautifully and tastefully decorated with works of art. Poolside, fire-side, sur- la-terasse or for a leisurely breakfast, the possibilities to de-stress are infinite. The stylishly, chic perspectival canvas co-exists with an unhurried air which is as stoic as its abundant Champagne and Brandy inventory-an education in itself! The bedrooms boast marvellous vistas and marble bathrooms which lend themselves to soothing siestas . As warm as the Basque sunset are the staff, generously on hand to offer their assistance to a manifold of trivialities. The only stumbling block is as the Basque saying exemplifies 'With good friends the hours are short'. Until the next time Beaumanoir...

Travelled with family including school age children.
The establishment is five minutes from central Biarritz in a quiet residential area.
Staff were extremely welcoming and couldn't do enough for us.
We were upgraded to a large suite with two bedrooms and a lounge area overlooking the immaculately manicured garden and lap pool.
The building itself is impressive from the outside and the furnishings are in keeping.
The pool is heated and there are plenty of loungers and day beds as well as a shaded area.
After eating in town, we ordered a bottle of champagne from the huge selection which was brought to our room, other guests had theirs on the terrace. The hotel does offer a seafood platter if you want to eat in.
Beds, linen and toileteries were all up to scratch.
Our only regret was that we stayed such a short time. We would definitely return.
