We chose this Mercure hotel for its location in the heart of Biarritz because we naively thought the resort would be quiet in early November. Our first night was hampered by a bass noise coming from outside the hotel (funfair? Concert in a nearby bar?). The next day, for the second night, we asked to change room to no longer face the street and the person at the reception immediately accepted our request. Unfortunately, we slept badly once again because we were really hot and the air conditioning was on non-adjustable heating mode (while the individual setting is clearly indicated on the Accord website as attested by the attached screenshot). In short, we spent 2 consecutive bad nights... If we add to this a rate of 22 € per person for breakfast while this one is in line with the other Ibis and Mercure hotels, in other words, quite simple, with in addition 3 employees who have trouble ensuring a continuous presence on a Sunday morning to welcome guests and replenish what is missing, we are obliged to say that we are disappointed with our stay. Fortunately, the underground car parks allow parking nearby ( 25 € ) and the seaside is nearby. But the price/performance ratio is not good.

Stayed 4 nights in Autumn 2023 at this Pension near the Grande Plage. Very welcome with upgrade to privileged room. As a Platinum member of the AccorAll club it is always appreciated.
Small room, we feel that we are downtown, but functional and comfortable. Partial sea view. Adequate bedding for my back, small sofa and desk table. Minibar well stocked. Sufficient shelves and closet. Iron with small board available. Clean bathroom with walk-in shower or pommel. Separate toilet. Products Nuxe.
Very good soundproofing with outside, fortunately because it can be very noisy with the pub down the street.
Inn that fits the Mercury standardarts, ideal location for sightseeing and business.

The good side: nice hotel, well located and the staff is really nice. You can go to the beech in 5 minutes. The less good side: rooms with a view on the public place are noisy during the nights (bars/restaurants and nightclubs just below the hotel. The real downside: for the fee, the hotel does not offer any parkings. It is "very" challenging" in Biarritz during the holidays to find a parking, either you pay very expensively (if you're lucky to find a free place, or you park your car far far away!

If you want to pay 150€ for one night in a terrible hotel who looks like an hôtel ibis then go there... The 15m2 room with an awful decoration will make you feel like it’s a scam. And the “restaurant menu” during the COVID is not more than a plate of cheese and charcuterie. I’ve never paid such an expensive price for such an ugly hotel. It doesn’t fit with Mercure hotels at all.

"Plage" should not be permitted in this hotel's name as this hotel is not on the beach and there are no views of thebeach. Beds are tiny and not wide orlong enough for a restful sleep. More like cots. Unbelievable as it cost 171 euros for two important things we did NOT get - a hotel on the beach and a comfortable bed.

We were very happy with this hotel: clean and modern, with a pleasant staff. It is located on a beautiful square and is less than a 5-minute walk from the Grande Plage. It's also close to the market, where there are some wonderful small restaurants. We were offered an upgrade to two ocean-view rooms, a fantastic detail that made our stay feel like an elegant vacation. We would definitely return here.

Perfect location. Lovely staff. Perfect noise isolation from both the outside and from other rooms. I dealt with several members of staff, they make you feel welcome, they have personal attention, they’re very good at customer service. I was a relief. I was anxious going to this hotel simply because I had spent my previous night in a 4 star hotel in Spain, where my stay and the way the staff behaved, were awful. I will definitely recommend staying in this hotel. Great staff. Great rooms, and perfect location.

Location is excellent, easy walk to the beach, plenty of restaurants, shops, etc. Room was compact but well equipped and clean. There is a parking next door which was very convenient for us.

Each rooms are equipped with a minibar to refresh cans of drink. But those minibar are not considered like fridge. You can ask at the reception staff to store some baby stuff, in our fridge.
